    Seems to be a glut of £2 coins at the moment as I have had 14 of them this week so £28 gone in the pot :j plus got another one today in some change.

    hope I'm not butting in :o I haven't posted before or joined any of the challenges, but picked upon the saving £2 coins idea from here around 5-6 years ago

    anyway, I started putting coins into one of those stainless steel coffee/tea/sugar tins from Poundland, I got a friend to cut a slot in the lid. I was very disciplined & never looked in the tin or borrowed any of it, I made a rule that I'd only open it when I absolutely could not force any more coins in

    I thought I'd have maybe £500, but when I finally opened it there was £1,000 + :T which went towards much needed carpets etc for my new home :D


    I've started another now, thank you so much for the idea, I'd never have saved so much any other way :)
