Are there any PAYGO mobiles that allow free Internet?
I was wondering if there are any mobiles that allow unlimited access to the internet for free. What I mean by that is by having a wi fi feature so I can access my home internet wirelessly, instead of paying by the minute.

Yes, higher end Pay as you Go phones include wi-fi, devices to feature this include the Nokia 5800, which is around £200. Alternatively, you can get free internet access from most mobile networks:
Three provides 150mb with every top up which lasts up to 90 days. You can top up as little as £5.00, and all their phones support the feature. Cheapest phone is the ZTE F102 at £29.99.
O2 provides "unlimited" (subject to fair use) with every top up which lasts up to 30 days. You have to top up £15.00 to get this feature, and you'll need a phone with 3G to best use it.
T-Mobile provides "unlimited" (subject to fair use) with every top up which lasts up to 30 days. You have to top up £10.00 to get this feature, and you'll need a phone with 3G to best use it.
GiffGaff provides "unlimited" internet until 25th May 2010. You'll need an unlocked 3G phone to take advantage, as they don't sell their own phones. It's unknown how much data will cost after 25th May.Hope that helps,
Mark

Thanks for your replies. Although, I dont want a phone that requires monthly top ups to get Internet access. Would a paygo iphone require any top ups to get wi fi Intenet?Sorry No Links in Signatures by Site Rules - MSE Forum Team 20

You're right, and MarkSaver is wrong. Orange PAYG Dolphin used to include free access to Facebook, Bebo and MySpace with every £10 top up. Recently, it's changed to 50mb of any internet access. Useful for a bit of Facebook on the train home from work, and checking the football scores in the pub on Saturdays, but that's about it.0 -
If all you want is to access wifi at home on a mobile device why not just buy an iPod Touch?
At least half the price of an iPhone, has the same browser and wifi capability0 -

My apologies, last time I checked was early last month, proving I really should be looking at competitor deals more :rotfl:. Shame, the 500MB was a reasonable allowance, but 50MB isn't much at all. So, in the interest of providing a new summary for people detailing all the networks correctly.
Free stuff with a £10 top up
Three (Free stuff lasts 90 days from top up):
150MB Internet
300 Texts
Unlimited 3-to-3
Unlimited Skype and MSN
Unlimited Voicemail
Orange (Free stuff lasts 30 days, can be claimed once per month):
50MB Internet
300 Texts
Orange Wednesdays
Vodafone 'Text Unlimited' (Fee stuff lasts 30 days):
Unlimited evening and weekend texts
O2 'Text and Web' (Free stuff lasts 30 days):
Unlimited texts (£15 is needed to get internet too)
T-Mobile (Free stuff lasts one month):
Unlimited texts
40MB of Internet Per Day (Fair Usage)
Some weird terms for T-Mobile's offer that are worth reading:- We'd like to remind you that your terms and conditions also say that you mustn't use our services to do anything unlawful or to send nuisance communications. At the moment, we'll decide that you're breaking this condition if you text more than 200 different numbers over the course of the month with your reward. Remember, we're free to decide that other types of use may also be breaking this condition. If you do break this condition, we'll disconnect your SIM card from our network without giving you any advance warning.
- We're afraid that you can only be part of one of our top-up reward offers at any time, so you won't get Little Extras when you join with this offer. If you try to opt in to another top-up reward or buy one of our 30 day Boosters, then you'll have to opt-out of this reward first. If you opt in to another reward prior to making your first top up, you won't get this reward. And if you move price plans to our Text Appeal plan you'll lose this reward. You can opt out of this reward at any time by texting STOP TEXTWEB to 441. Once you've opted out of this reward then you won't be able to opt back in again.
So sounds like it's a bad plan if you're planning to 'Happy New Year' text 200+ friends tomorrow evening, or if you like the idea of their Boosters.Hope that helps,
Mark
