My new hob is an induction one - absolutley brilliant !!!

Off to Nottingham tomorrow to take DD back to Uni.

Our school was one of only 3 in the area open today.

HOpe you are all having a good day and can i have a slice of cake - it sounds delicious.

Which kind of makes a mockery of the national weather. We were reasonably warm (in the sun, and out of the wind), but it was pretty cloudy and unusually windy so the warmth was pretty rare.

I bought a new barbeque in preparation. It remains unused...

lol macgirl - I would be tempted.......!! We shall await tomorrow and just see what it brings us!

The roads are definitely worse today than yesterday - minus 6 on the way home, so pretty chilly.....am glad to be home in the warm now, although OH has to go out so I don't envy him.

I managed a NSD today - am pleased with that as it takes me to 5......and it is only 8 days into the month/year......normally, I am lucky to do 2 or 3 a month, so hopefully this is a good habit being formed.....

I'm thinking the trip to Norwich airport is going to be the first challenge - are you driving or is DS joining a group? I'm guessing it's a morning flight... so that you don't get a lie-in at the weekend again

Its a morning flight, and he is flying out on his own......first test of being almost grown up :rolleyes: I'll drive him to the airport, and obviously wait there until I know that everything is going ahead (or otherwise) and he will be met at the other end.

Hopefully if only light snow is forecast, they can grit the runway and clear it. I would say expect delays, but I'm sure he'll fly.

The delays in Manchester were due to heavy and unexpected falls that didn't let up. Everything crossed x
