I'm so jealous of your shopping trip, I'm dieting to get back into clothes *sigh* Although I will be purchasing one rather extravagant outfit next year I guess

Oh dear, I don't normally like clothes shopping etc., but it seems different when it's part of the slimmer/feel good new you idea. But got to go through what I've got when I get back and work out the priority gaps.

So true - this should be engraved somewhere on my wardrobe :rotfl:

Se, I don't normally "do" clothes shopping - because I have not been able to afford to do so, and to find things that fit me properly usually means spending moneyI just don't have. But, this weight loss/buying clothes thing is all part of the process of re-identifiying with myself as a person, it is amazing how much of a lack of identity I found myself facing once OH went. And, yes, lingerie will be on the list too - I am going to do the whole thing properly :) I figure that my target weight will be reached at about the same time as I get my bonus at the end of May.......

Soup is cooking for dinner, and bets are on for tomorrow's racing......a few ££ here and there most welcome as always. Then I will get ready to ski. It is a lovely evening out there, so should be good. Finally did my scratches this evening - only 10ps.....

I know when I went from size 24 down to 14/16 it took me a while to get me around to even looking at nice fitting clothes, as I wasn't back to where I wanted to be, I did buy some clothes en route, you needed to for confidence and to have something to wear, but still prefered the baggy hide it all look. It took OH pushing for me to try on some nice fitting jeans, and it was such a confidence boost when they fitted :)

That was a few years ago, it's those jean I'm now trying to shrink in the wash :) So I don't do these sort of wardrobe revamps regularly.

I'd given up on getting below this 14/16 size, as tried for a few years, so on the last house move did a major clearout of my what was normal sized clothes, including lots of nice expensive classics, but suddenly a few things together seem to be working.

Hope I can just get to my target this time :o

I am sure you will reach your target, Se. You are going great guns so far.

Soup was delish - spicy tomato, rice and sweetcorn. Just 3 points for the whole tin, which also counts as 2 of my 5 a day......and which nicely leaves me with enough in my allowance for a Twirl (6 points )

Considering I am only allowed 18 points a day, 6 points taken out of my allowance is an awful lot!

    No wonder I was/am overweight :o:o:o

I'm doing the points thing too and put a bag of crisps back the other day because they were four and for that I could have LOADS of other stuff! Does make you think about what you used to eat cos I could easily have had a couple of bags in the past:o:o.

Well done on the loss and I really hope the mortgage is sorted soon.

Re the mortgage - they could confirm today that they have taken OH off the mortgage, but haven't updated the figures yet and still show the old mortgage as being in existance, so I don't know how much I will owe on the new mortgage, or what the monthly payment will be.

But the fact that they have put it in my sole name is a step in the right direction, so hopefully they will have the whole thing sorted by the end of the week.

I think there was a program comparing diets a few years ago, and one young woman was following a points system, and the organiser was in shock when she was losing weight, but she stored points through the week and spent most of her points on a night out with the girls on vodka, she really enjoyed her night out, and thought the diet was good too, as it worked for her.

If I get bored with doing a daily points allowance, I do a weekly one instead - means that, for example, you can have a curry takeaway on a Saturday night without any problem, because you will claw back the points before or after. Also good if you want "proper" puds after a Sunday Roast :)

So, at 18 points a day, that is 126 a week.......or 21 twirls and a whole load of salad :rotfl:
