Chops, I went the other way - we had been on interest only for over 6 years while we tackled the other debt, and I changed it to repayment just before Christmas.
I was able to do it over the phone without any problem - I don't know how the banks etc favour people going interest only.....I think you should just ring up and ask - they can only say no!.
Thanks, I am going to give them a ring. I am hoping to do this for a year and try and get rid of one of the massive credit cards.LBM Total: £33356 15/11/09  £6085.63 paid

Hi Mudders :j helloooooooo to you too.
Have had news that the mortgage has completed. The house and all its associated encumberances are in my name now. Bittersweet.....Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Mixed feelings today then ((hugs)). Sad that it is just yours now, but good as you can get on and plan.
Give yourself a break today, but I need a few challenges to kick my butt, I'll be waiting, colouring pen in hand ready for whats next0 -
Sounds like good news on the house, I assume this means that you can finalise your budgets shortly which will at least mean you know what you're dealing with a little more clearly on the financial side.0

Good news, try not to look back on the past but think to your new future, you are in control of your new life now
Hugs though as I am sure there is a sadness about it all too
