Good to hear from you Surfbabe - like many I've been thinking of you. Best wishes for the weekend ahead - hope you've got the support you need to see you through the tough times.
Hypno - you're doing amazingly well on the bits of money coming in each day. You should have a lovely pot of money for a Christmas girls skiing holiday in 9 months timeDo you know how much you're earning each month from all this extra MS, MBs, scratchies etc. (you don't need to answer, I'm just curious)!
No doubt you're doing better than the rest of us, but a bit of competiton never hurt anyone :rotfl:
Right, off to work. Have a good day everyone.0 -
I usually keep a running total of my "MSE extras" cash like mystery shopping, matched betting, scratches etc. And generally make an average of £300 a month ie the £10 a day challenge.
But since OH left I decided not to keep a total going, because I didn't want to put pressure on myself to "earn" it. If I expect to earn £300 a month, and am only earning £100, say, I might be disappointed, which could feel quite negative.
If I have no target, then every £1 I make is actually very positive!
These bloomin mind games :rotfl:
The MSE money has to fund the children's skiing, as well as my own, and any other non-budgeted costs. So it is my only savings as well as being ski etc money! So the more that is in the pot, the better!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. I do, but I cashed it in before Christmas to help pay for the children's skiing. It is still building up again, at £50 a month, though, and I will just leave it to do its own thing until such time as I really need it. It is definitely fall back money, but at the moment, there isn't really a lot of it!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. Hi Hypno
Glad things are on the up for you though I'm not belittleing how hard it still must be for you. Oh yes those mind games are oh so important. I thought it would be a big brake through when i realised how I have been sabataging myself over the years. Now I'm frustrated because I've realised I've been doing it again since January lol! GRRRRRRRR!!!
I think you definitely need the ski trip and it will be lovely thing to aim for.
Must get on with my ou assignment as it as to be in Friday and I want it out of the way so I can enjoy my coffee with friends tomorrow and my day off Friday without it hanging over me but I don't know where to start. Think I will forget that procrastination is my middle name and just write a stream of consciousness to get over that scarey white page.
Have a good day.0 -
