Do please consider an electric blanket, I couldn't live without mine although saying that I have done the two hot water bottle thing.
My house is seriously cold (lowest temp recorded in my bedroom this winter was 8.6 degrees although I think it is up to a balmy 12-13 now) and getting into a toasty warm preheated bed is delicious.0 -
yeah, thanks llama!
The duvet under the sheet made it a more comfortable night, but I still woke at the "usual" time....cold and miserableI am rather phlegmmy this morning, so I probably am coming down with something.......I blame Z entirely!

oh sallyx.......at least I had no wet bed.......
The funny bit was that I stripped the sheets and protector but it was slightly damp on the mattress, she then refused to sleep there so I ended up sleeping on the damp spot :o
Mattress is fine, and nice clean sheets tonight so bonus!I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

Well, apart from being a bit snuffly, the cold has not developed into anything, so fingers crossed it is just paying a fleeting visit.
I have today paid the mortgage money to the required department, so hoping that it will all be sorted very soon. Halifax certainly have been dragging their feet. Even my solicitor couldn't work out why such a simple thing was being made so complicated. Thankfully she hasn't charged me extra for the hassle-factor!
WW tomorrow - I don't expect a loss at all.....I've not eaten badly, but my scales don't tell me that I have lost any. Ah well, after such a big loss last week, I can't really be surprised if I stay the same or put on a lb or so. Perhaps week three will be the week I can go and buy that new handbag!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. Oh don't get me wrong - they have been good up til now. They offered us a mortgage to buy this place, when our debt was at its highest because they looked at affordability rather than a straight income multiple. (we were paying a rent much higher than the mortgage we wanted and had proved we could pay that without a problem.)
Also, we are on a 10 year fixed rate at a very favourable APR.....considering we got a rate of 4.95% when rates were above 5%, and now they are at almost zero and they don't offer a rate as good as the one we've got, we have been pretty grateful in the past.
I could just do with it being as easy right now!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
