Sorry for being wrong about your Nana, but at least she knows now. Not easy having to admit to people that your apparently well-organised life is not so good after all, but family should stand by you and be there if you need help.

Fabulous news though about the Newmarket trip, £38-50 is an absolute bargain for all that, and DD must be chuffed to bits! See, you did get something right today!

It is indeed a bargain - even allowing for the petrol and something to eat, for a birthday treat it is absolutely perfect. Lets just hope for a mild summer's evening now! I have been before when it has been so cold I have had to go and buy a very overpriced barbour, hat, and wellies at the racecourse!! That was only once, though, the other times I have been we have been very lucky with the weather, so fingers crossed for this one!

Thanks becky - I may just book for Spandau Ballet anyway, and I reckon she will soon come round to the idea of another evening out! Razorlight are also playing this summer......:D

I've not been running, but I have been skiing - so not completely couch bound Perhaps when I have lost a bit more weight I will go out......on the couple of occasions that I have gone round the block, my lycra has been a little less than comfortable :eek:
