Good morning Hypno and friends,
I think you can tell from the post time Hypno I'm having sleep problems too. Tonight I'm going to try the long soak in a bath with essential oils, I need some sleep. Hope you're having better luck.0 -
Well done on defusing the danger run to the tumble dryer, I had forgotten that you lot up there will be starting to use such things in emergencies with the cold weather. I am enjoying getting washing i hang out at 6.30pm being dry by 8 when the sun goes down.
I hope the decluttering continues. I have done some too, and managed to hoover part of the floor that hasn't been done for a month or two.
Walshy boy fingers crossed for the prognosis of your relatives. That must be SO hard to deal with
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Walshy, I am sorry that cancer has hit so many people close to you - I truly hope that everyone makes a good recovery and that no one else is hit. As you say, an opportunity for you to get yourself fit and well, and to do something positive.
As for the updates - yes, got the bonus, so yes, have got the money together to pay for the kids skiing and YES, I soooo enjoyed my week away - it was just what the doctor ordered.
Se.....a G&T plus two nytol did it for me last night following a hot bath with oilsI hope you manage a good nights sleep tonight x
chick - yes, I had forgotten those blisters! I do still have the scars though! Good luck with London this year - you will do brilliantly! (and I will wish I had continued running as I watch!)
chev - the decluttering will continue......and if I can work on the garage bit by bit, it will have made a siginificant difference by the summer - it is too big a job to tackle in one go without several skips and some heavy lifting equipment in place
Today we are off visiting again - so that will be the last few presents gone from under the tree. It may be that the tree then comes down this evening, or perhaps tomorrow.......and then I need to declutter and sort the decorations boxes before they go back in the loft for another year.
I hope you all have a good day - off to scratch, bank and drink more coffee.......xSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Sounds like a busy couple of days!
I'm going through the Fly lady phase with my clothes... Need to shrink down everything to three drawers and a shelf as I'm moving over the next few months and need some space!:beer: Debt Free since July 2011 and it feels good!
Now it's all about finding a deposit for a house!
How do you amass £70k in a year?! :eek:0 -

Which, let's face it, is the reason things don't get done as it's so easy to get stuck in the "I seem to have changed the toilet roll every time since I moved in 8 years ago" mindset:o
For me it's case of "time" rather than whine - and lack of energy after working a 12 hour day.
Your other comment reminds me of a card I once bought. It quotes Joan Rivers
"I clean the house, change the beds, then 6 months later, I have to start all over again!":rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Me neither. Sci-Fi leaves me cold and I'm not ashamed to admit it:eek:    How is that possible?
Please tell me you have at least watched things like star wars though... please... please... please! :silenced:
Easy, just watch something without weird metal-mickey voices and people wearing plastic heads!:rotfl:
Yes, I have watched Star Wars, but only because it "Changed my Life" words from DH when he first saw it in the cinema aged 7
He made me reopen the sealed envelope on the last census, because I hadn't written his religion as "Jedi".Come on!
We have even spent part of our holiday in California, going to Modesto, home town of George Lucas (where incidently NO-ONE has heard of him "Whooooo???" :rotfl:)
So no, I don't watch Dr. Who.
But that it the beautiful thing about life, we are all different. Some people are weird and some are normal:cool::D
Ooh - Morning Hypno!!!:D0 -
I'm not into sci-fi at all either, macgirl........but occasionally dip in and out of Dr Who, just because it is one of those "constants" in life, going back to the hiding behind the sofa days as a 5 year old!! I've certainly not watched all the star wars films, and shaun and KC would probably want to hang their heads in shame at my general sci fi ignorance
20p on scratches today - nothing approaching payout just yet as have only just requested £10 from one of them......and nothing untoward showing in the banking. Egg have allocated all my money correctly, so I will decide exactly what I am doing there, at some point over the weekend.
macgirl - I have that housework saying on a postcard - maybe it should be one of the things I declutter in order to only have positivity in the house:rolleyes::rotfl:
