Its a case of whether there are enough 15 minutes in a day, macgirl! I suppose I have to try and get it so that each entry on the flylady list takes me no more than 15 mins.......hmm.....perhaps not quite yet, but certainly something I can work towards!

    A whole 15 minutes spare? :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes: You're telling me.

No offense to any of the formidable OS Flyladies, but I think actual Flylady is easier :o She does one area per week, not per DAY! :rotfl:
Well done if you can do that week in week out, but I certainly can't fit that in.

I've just rejoined Flylady, so will start getting the emails again. It certainly does make a difference and some habits stick. I always shine my sink (kitchen and bathroom), swish and swipe, clean the "faucets" with a toothbrush :A (generally while the kids are in the bath - multi-tasking :D) and I always give my front door a wipe, which really makes me feel :A:A:A

    I'm loving 2010 already! :rotfl:

I did look at the actual flylady, briefly, a couple of times, but I couldn't see it working for me - I think there is just too much that needs to be done in my house for one area a week to make any difference - by the time it gets back to that one area, you would never ever know that it had ever been done previously.......we are a scuzzy slummy lot here :o

When I've been at work, I have only dipped in and out of the flylady thread on OS, and can't possibly claim to have done every level, or even ANY level every day......but it is more than I was doing before so it has still made some difference.....a long way from perfect, or even acceptable, but definitely moving in the right direction.

This week has been good for me because it has allowed me to get a whole lot more done, without the time pressure, and I have certainly benefitted from the improvement in the state of the place - it really does make me feel a whole lot "lighter" when it is tidy. Of course, there is still a lot to do - many cupboards to declutter, and the garage and the loft are still danger zones, but I feel that it is a very good start to the year.

SH - a role model for "me time" - haha, that'll be the day!!

I've sorted through another load of papers - this is just a small dent in the overall mountain of paperwork that I have in the house/cabin and it is my aim to be down to the bare bones of it by Easter with all surplus paperwork banished.

I also had a soak in the bath while Dr Who was on - I didn't see the first part so will watch both together on iplayer instead......and am now going to re-write my address book (got a new one for Christmas last year but never got round to doing it), while I declutter a gin and tonic.

Hope you are all having a good evening x

Do I really need to keep the advent calendars that their grandparents sent them when they were very small  Not any more.....

But it's probably worth taking a photo before the calendars get binned:D
I remember how annoyed I got when my mum wanted to get rid of the books I'd won as prizes in infant school.:o

Flylady does has the mantra of "You can do anything in 15 minutes".

Flylady also says...Anything for 15 minutes except whine!
Which, let's face it, is the reason things don't get done as it's so easy to get stuck in the "I seem to have changed the toilet roll every time since I moved in 8 years ago" mindset:o
    Could that be me?;):rotfl:

And I didn't cry during Doctor Who.
Well, not after a judicious bit of lip biting, anyway.
