Yup it's in late June going into July. I thought it might be that but where does it tell you? Couldn't see it on the website and the paper booking form doesn't mention date/price fluctuations it just asks you to send £19pp would they come back and ask for more once they agree your dates?

    No no insurance or ferry

Any idea on how I know if I got a tent or a caravan?

Hi, first ever post so go easy!
With regards to your question about the possibility of a tent: When I was booking online whenever I searched for a parks availability it came up with the date available and next to it it said 'tent' if they only had a tent available. I searched for a while to see if there were some that wasn't only tents and found some eventually. If they had a mobile home available from what I can gather there was nothing written next to the date. I made sure I booked a date that didn't say 'tent' next to it so I hope I don't get one.

It was easy to miss as I only noticed because my wife pointed it out at the last minute which was lucky! :A

Hi, Okay I'm gonna be honest with you, I did notice the 'tent' when I was trying different configurations in an attempt to get the park I wanted on the dates I wanted. I also made sure that my choice didn't say 'tent' before I went ahead and booked it. Now like you i am hoping that as my confirmation doesn't say 'tent' I don't have a tent and they won't try and give me a tent, as I don't want a tent (been there done that) what with a toddler and a baby and all the gear they'll need on holiday. _pale_

I was just kinda hoping someone was gonna confirm if it doesn't say tent it defo wont be a tent. As I'm kind of concerned if the sites are busy there will just be a first come first served basis and as I expect to arrive late on the day in high season I might just get what's left _pale_. So looks like we might both be waiting on that now eh....
Anyhow cheers mate and I hope you get a nice mobile home and have a good holiday.

It should be a mobile home unless you booked / clicked on tent

don't panic :) just ring the site up or email direct and ask ! they should have all your info already and be able to see what you have booked

the tents look fab though! we looked round one when onsite the other year
they are big & have proper rooms and well equipped
not like a little tent you put up yourself lol!

we have always stayed in mobile homes, but when we go to Lake Garda this year we are staying in a tent, our boys are dying to lol

  • Hi
I booked our SUN European holiday online however it came to £30pp for a 7 night break as opposed to the £19pp that it asks you to send with the paper priority booking form, still excellent value I know just wondering why it was more moola. I have contacted the SUN 4 times now to ask without reply. Anyone on here know why it cost £120 and not £76?

    Thanks

For seven night holidays in June/July it is £15x2=£30 each person. This is because the £19 is for holidays in low season only. These prices do not include service charges as you will be charged by the holiday park.

    Hope this helps.

I've done it before, even later, BUT I chose ANY park in 5 different areas.

Thanks Helen, can you tell me where you found this information? I've looked but didn't see anything relating to this pricing in the priority booking info I was sent. I made my booking online and didn't find any info about it there either.

    Thanks

    Hi Rachie

Thanks for trying to reassure me. I guess the problem is I saw some options stating 'tent' but the option I chose didn't say 'mobile home' it didn't say anything.
I have nothing against tents, just would like the added security of a mobile home now with the kids and all the stuff I'll be haulin.

I've spent many a whole summer sharing a 2 person dome in Spain, sleeping on a lilo.......BUT I also recall I stayed in a Tivoli tent with Cantabrica for 2 weeks (shhhuuuddder) and it was the worst bed I've had the misfortune to (attempt to) sleep in, uneven camp bed with an inch thick mattress, I've had better sleep in the back of a landrover without any bedding or padding..

Hope you have a great time at Lake Garda, I'm sure your beds will not be as bad as mine was...spose you could always just drink more Chianti :D

being a noob here it wouldn't let me post a link but if you google 'Tivoli, Cantabrica' you'll see the culprit

    haha yeah good idea :)
    have had a look http://www.cantabrica.co.uk/accommodation_tents.html#1

Oh well if they are bad I will gatecrash my sister or Mum & dads mobile home lmao !
We are used to camping though so it's gotta be better than that ?! :D

With the site we stay at in France with the SUN holidays,we have only ever had a mobile home, even though one of the stays was in July
we never been offered a tent ,even though they have them onsite ?

I would just call them to find out ,save the stressing at 1am ! ;-) :)
