You could try for one of the £19 Travelodge deals if there's anything closer.

Good idea! Last year we got a travelodge for the thursday night so we could start our holiday early on the friday by getting to butlins sooner :) we drove to the travelodge after dinner/tea, so the children fell asleep in the car. It was still an hour away from Butlins, but much better than driving the whole way after breakfast on the friday :)

Oh, and I've always managed to get a school holiday date :D end of july or start of sept, october half term etc except for when booking by post, but even then we've always had a weekend where the children have had a teacher training day either on the friday or monday, so we still got 3 nights of holiday :T

 we have usually managed to get school holiday dates, and if not then a fri - mon break the wkend before half term / holidays

you have to be quick though,as obviously school holiday datea are in high demand!! the site always opens early ( ie the day before it should ) and you have to be ready to book soon as it does!

We have managed, over the last few yrs, hols in easter X 2, August X 1, & Oct half term X 3.

But like Rachie says - you have to be quick. ;)
  • i've only put down mid two weeks in july cos that's our hols from work but five parks don't have a holiday off in may:( and october my holiday is after the kids go back to school:mad: so i've got fingers crossed that we get something. does anyone know how long after postal applications for holidays do you hear back, not priority.

And are you only willing to go to those specific 5 parks ?
there may be something for your dates, but just not the parks you put down....

they sometimes email you saying they don't have the parks you asked for,but offer a list of alternatives that are still available ( you don't have to accept, you can have your cheque back )

    Hope you get something

  • If someone could add me to the list waiting for a priority booking code then I would really appreciate it. I am a single mum and would love to be able to take my kids away this year. With many thanks. :-)
  • Hi I would really apreciate a booking number if someone has one. I would love to get away this summer.

I am a bit concerned as we booked Butlins for Feb half term. I have never booked for one so soon before and wonder how long it takes for the confirmation to come thru when the holiday is now only 3 weeks away. I am hoping to upgrade too.
