Finally got my confirmation in the post yesterday and was soooooo excited as we got Butlins Bognor on our second choice of date!! Im soooo happy!
I would never go to Butlins Bognor ever again even if they paid me!!

We stayed in Gold accomodation and the people above us banged around all week......the day before we were due to leave they were stomping around so much that the light in our sitting room fell down and glass smashed all around us. Luckily our kids were having a nap on the sofa.
They were not helpful at all in dealing with it, and it was the end to a bad week anyway. The food was absolutely disgraceful, could never get in to see a show, and when we did u had people at table with empty chairs saying that someone was sitting on the chairs!! The best bit about that is I have a walking stick and they were saving their chairs for their kids who were at the front watching the show.

Anyway I managed to get a 3/4 refund from them.......only took us 6 months to get it!!!

I just hope u and yours have a better time than we did.

As a Bognor Boy (born and bred) I have been to Butlin's and worked there in the past. I think you'll find for everyone that has a great holiday you'll find someone that has a bad experience.

Problem is that people who have a bad one are 100% more likely to write and tell about it than the good ones. Have a great time and enjoy the holiday, for the price of the Sun break you really can't go wrong.
    NO RAIN - NO RAINBOWS

When did i stop being able to fit Hoola-Hoops over my fingers?:think:

oww sorry to hear you didnt enjoy it. I have actually been before a couple of years ago and loved it so fully expect to enjoy it again!
We dont plan on actually eating on site as want to get out and about and explore (we will have a young baby with us so too young for most onsite activities) and will only be going to early shows so getting there nice and early should ensure a seat as is the same with most holiday camps! were also going midweek in term time so hopefully will be slightly less busy!
We are still looking forward to it
  • can someone please help me.

If I booked a sun break to Butlins for a 3 day weekend for 2 adults and 2 children how much would the cost have been for self catering, and then how much for half board. I paid £60.50 online with a priority booking but now i've received an invoice for another £192.00.

Any help would be appreciated, i've tried calling them but customer service is closed.
Keeper of 2 children, 2 dogs, 2 cats & thankful that you can only have 1 husband at a time.

This must have been a June/July hol. The extra invoiced amounts should be itemised, compulsory service charge, optional entertainment passes and optional linen hire. Have they put an upgrade on that you can take off as well? And half board if you booked it-i did at the time but haven't received my confirmation through. When you pay the invoice on the phone take off the bits you don't want.

I thought as its butlins and no passes are needed for entertainment etc, entertainment passes would be compulsary?otherwise you would get people not paying the extra charge but still using ther facilities.

They do not normally process applications which do not have the specified number of parks and dates

Last time I put down only two dates and 5 parks and got our 1st choice park. Done it before too and application was processed

You do have passes at Butlins. You have to show them to get into the swimming pool and entertainnment venues. You can use the main pavilion and funfair etc without them.
