Hooray, got my confirmation through the post today!

Only one problem, they're charging us £30 per person for a 7 night stay in France for four of us??? I've been back and read my small print (which I'm always mindful to do with these) and it says nothing about this price. It actually says and I quote, '6. Only complete applications for holidays from £9.50 will be accepted. Incomplete applications will be returned. We cannot always guarantee multiple applications will be similarly processed. For European holidays only you can book a 7 night break at a cost of £19 per person.'

I've read further on and it says about the supplement charge which is £6 per night which is £42 in total which I was already aware of.

So, if it's £19 each that's £76. Plus the service charge by the park of £6 per night, that's £42.

£76 + £42 = £118??? What's going on? When I booked online I paid £121.50 because of a small card charge or something which is about right. Now they're saying I have to pay an additional £57 because the holiday is £30 per person.

    Can anyone shed some light?

Sorry if that doesn't make much sense, my head's spinning from all the working out so it's beginnig to go numb!

If you need me to break it down in a different way or explain something else just let me know and I'll do my best.

    Please, someone help!

    Thanks in advance.
have a look back on this thread and the other 2 threads as someone else asked this and got the answer, but i can't remember what it was

Hi all, my cheque has been cashed last week but I have received no notification through the post yet.
Do I definately have a holiday now????

Can't be 100% because they could always refund your money but would say yes. You should receive confirmation by the 25th of feb. If not there's a number that you can call. If you need this come then PM me and I'll forward it to you.

Congrats and enjoy, hope it's the one you want!

Ok, thanks Mand72. Will do. :)
  • Finally got my confirmation in the post yesterday and was soooooo excited as we got Butlins Bognor on our second choice of date!! Im soooo happy!
  • this is my first time with sun holidays and me and the other half decided it would be good to go on one just the two of us and one with 2 friends. there were only 7 different dates we could put down due to work and didnt realise that we could put fewer dates down, so doubled some within the 2 applications and hoped for the best. unfortunately, they both came through and we now have one for the two of us in seaview holiday village and one for 4 people in Newquay crantock beach, both on 26th april. would anyone consider swapping anything for either of these dates or can offer any advice on what is my best option? please? :)

I think the European hols were dearer on certain dates like June/July but cant be sure as I have no paperwork.

My cheque has been cashed today!!! After only putting one park and 4 dates down. Just got to wait for the info in the post now.:j
  • Hi, not sure if anyone can help me, I booked a Sun Holiday online a few weeks ago, had the email confirmation and the money was taken from my debit card. A few days later I recieved an email identical to the previous confirmation email I'd recieved straight after booking, thinking this was odd I checked my online banking to find they had actually taken payment twice. I've tried a couple of phone numbers 1 which doesnt operate till later this month and the other which just instructs me to use the contact form on the site. I've emailed them twice now using this contact form and still heard nothing? Does anyone have any clue as to how I get my money back or is it just a case of waiting till the phone line opens in a couple of weeks?

I would never go to Butlins Bognor ever again even if they paid me!!

We stayed in Gold accomodation and the people above us banged around all week......the day before we were due to leave they were stomping around so much that the light in our sitting room fell down and glass smashed all around us. Luckily our kids were having a nap on the sofa.
They were not helpful at all in dealing with it, and it was the end to a bad week anyway. The food was absolutely disgraceful, could never get in to see a show, and when we did u had people at table with empty chairs saying that someone was sitting on the chairs!! The best bit about that is I have a walking stick and they were saving their chairs for their kids who were at the front watching the show.

Anyway I managed to get a 3/4 refund from them.......only took us 6 months to get it!!!

I just hope u and yours have a better time than we did.
Never buys anything at full price unless completely forced to do so!!!
