OK, it was obviously just a typo by Lemongrove.

This is weird. Pollycat has posted here on an old thread that I started. At exactly the same time that I received a PM from someone claiming to be considering buying this gold business and wants to "put right any wrongs" that the previous owner did. I had already contacted the MSE team about this contact as it seemed odd that someone wants to correct any misdoings before he buys a business. I had even forgotten about this thread and about the ring. Strange indeed.:smileyhea A SMILE COSTS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING0

Pollycat posted as someone posted here claiming to be setting right the wrongs of previous management. That post has been removed as it was advertising0 -

I guess it did seem strange.
Somebody posted on your old thread about taking over this company and promising things would be run better etc etc.
They also said they'd tried to contact you without success.
I reported the post and as vuvuzela says, it's now been removed (leaving me looking as though I'm talking to myself :rotfl:).
I think you did the right thing by contacting the MSE team.0 -

BestpriceforGold has asked us to post on this thread on its behalf. MSE doesn't endorse anything a company says on the Forum.
My name is Philip and I bought Best price for Gold on July 21st 2011. As I am a “one man band” I rely do rely on customer good will referrals to their family and friends so I naturally run an honest and professional service for my customers and I was horrified to come across some negative comments regarding customer service on MSE. As the perceived misconduct was undertaken prior to my involvement with the business I would just like to state that I run a bona fide establishment with my customers at the heart of my business and my reputation paramount.
Please would any former customer who feels aggrieved at the previous owners’ misdemeanours feel free to contact me via enquiries@bestpriceforgold.co.uk and I will hopefully be able to recompense for any inconvenience caused.
Many thanks,
Philip Shock

I did hear that Mr BIG was notorious for these things, though.0
