As a newbie to this type of boot, can anyone tell me how far up the Love Australia Cozi boots come up to in the OP of this thread and how wide the top of the boot is. Thinking I need to go for ankle boots (as these are) because have larger calves and taller boots, altho preferred, I think are going to be too tight. Can you tuck jeans into these boots?

I have biggish calves and I'm not sure about the Cozi boots, but even tall boots will stretch you know after a few wears. It might be worth going to a shop to try on a pair of tall boots in any ugg brand and if they will go up your leg but are a bit tight, just bear in mind that they will stretch a bit after a few wears!

I'm not sure about LFA, but I've got a few pairs of sheepskins, different brands, and although I don't own UGG Australia boots, i've tried them on and leg sizing seems pretty consistent.

I'm generally ok though with any pull on tall boots, it's the zip up one's I struggle to get to fit my legs.

Thanks katehesk - am going to go into town and braving the cold this afternoon to try on some before deciding which to go for online. Altho reading about stretch in foot length of the sheepskin boots never really thought about it round the calves and like you have a problem with zipped boots. Only just managed to get a pair of wellies that fit with room to spare around my calves having lost one of my previous pair in a muddy forest last October:rotfl:(too long a story and will make me laugh too much to retell!)
If only I could stop finding good bargains on this site, I would save a fortune! :rotfl:

My wellies are really tight on me, and they're mens ones!

Can anyone who ordered the bargain basement LFA's tell me how long it took their order to arrive? I'm impatient!

I ordered, I had a nice (several nice!) chats by email with a customer service rep. He said they are currenly taking around 48 hours and arrive by courier (not Royal Mail who seem to be delivering items 1-2times a week in my area!- can't blame them though, lots of snow and no grit on the pavements, most people don't think to walk in the road).

I have the same huge calf problem- I also run/exercise alot at the moment and have HUGER calves them before, now 15 inches!!- gutting eh? I have though gotten my wellies from Millets and they seem great, have plenty of room to stuff my trousers into but not so large that snow and grit can escape into them. Considering getting some sheepskin liners to have inside but know the snow will stop just as I have them arrive!

I ordered on 31st and they arrived on 5th. I think they were packed on 4th and received the next day but that was before all the snow and ice hit...;)

I have the opposite problem- my calves are really skinny and I tend to look ridiculous in knee high boots. i'm thinking about getting the LFA Cozi boots as well. I've gone off Deckers after trouble with fakes.
I just got a tube and then the bus, in this blizzard and sub zero temperatures, to a daniel footwear outlet and they didn't even have my size. "Why didn't you call them before you set out?" I hear you cry. I DID and the woman I spoke to said they had them- so unimpressed.

  • Well went into town, tried on a pair of Just Sheepskin Classic in Chocolate and they were lovely (sz7 and my feet are nearer an 8 for sizing info). Went into TK Maxx and tried on a pair of tan / caramel BearPaw boots (sheepskin foot/knitted leg) and they felt good. Feel as they are knitted leg then they will be no problem around my larger calves and at £37 couldn't resist so have bought those. More realistically in my price range at present (teacher with little supply work) so am quite happy. May end up a bit big if they stretch too much but will just wear thicker socks.
So, happy for this winter and will maybe look ahead for bargains for into next winter.
    Thanks all for advice.

  • Anyone else having problems with the lfa bargain site? It just won't connect to the shop for me :(

I emailed them earlier today to check the status of my order and they said the site is down due to database changes taking longer than expected.

I was a bit anxious but got a reply within 15 minutes of email so feel a bit better now!

Can't wait for my boots to arrive...want them now! :j
