Are you guys using the web form or the email address? I had better luck with the web form.

I think the heel thing varies on the style of the shoe, on the short nomad pair I have they are perfect, on the tall pair I have they aren't enough for me. It does though depend on your pronation too (the natural way your foot rolls when walking).

Which style were you looking at?
I ordered the tall westerns. Saw some one wearing some last week an they looked great! Used the contact form this morning an received email back saying they had been despatched wednesday but as yet they not arrived. Would you buy them again?

The shortie nomads? without question yes, they are very much worth the price and the waterproof spray really does work.

The tall version? probably not, the heel isn't strong enough for me, but then again I never did order them in the first place- they sent them to me by mistake and there had been previous problems so they just let me keep them! I am very pleased to have them as they do an amazing job of keeping me warm- seriously, in the snow back in January, I was able to walk around outside at about 7pm in a vest top, treggings and these boots after a 30 min walk to the supermarket, they are very very warm. But for my perfectionist eye there are too many things I don't like to rebuy and the fact they feel just so massive on me is also something I am not happy with. But they were free so I am not going to argue. Maybe I wonder if I got sent a dodgy pair and this is why I was able to keep them? or maybe a genuine pair? who knows, there are others on here with the tall version who are very happy so I think maybe they vary quite a bit.

I used the form and also got a reponse pretty speedily. I'm swapping the cupids for clasic shorties instead. they only have a size up but I've been told that if they are too big I can return them for a refund. I'm debating whether to switch them for nomad shorties instead... they look more like the cupids and I do like the style. if they fit like the cupids tho then they will be too small. decisions, decisions

Are the soles not the same size? this would then mean the style would change the size rather then the boot being longer or wider and maybe email to ask either of the websites (the normal one or the BB one) themselves to see what they say.

Good point- I'll check. Was thinking of giving my nearest Daniel Footwear a call and seeing if they have classics and nomads in stock and trying them on.

I just compared the soles and they are narrower on the Cupids than on the Cozis. I called Daniel Footwear but they don't have the boots I want to try on so now I'm really not sure what to do. Do you think i would be being a nuisance if I asked LFA boots to compare the size of the soles on Nomads and Cupids?

I don't think you would be being a nuiance at all- its your money not theirs! but just to add that I found the soles matched exactly with my tall and short boots and still there is a difference in size so it may not be the only thing to consider, although if it is different then at least you know they will feel bigger/smaller.
I'd make sure though when you email, that you say you did a check yourself on two other of thier boots and noticed the difference otherwise they may just be thinking '!!!!!! they are by the same company' and not check properly
  • i'm e-mailing now. it's so annoying when shoes you buy online don't fit. it's bad enough when different brands have different fits but when it's the same brand it's a nightmare!

Does anyone know how the returns procedure works on the LFA clearance site, got a pair of westerns on Sat and they are so tight, obviously need next size up. Do you have pay for returns then the postage for the new pair? Also are you meant to received the protector spray with them as I never got any and read on here a people were getting the spray free with the boots.

If you got them from the bargain basement- the boots with the colourfast problem- then they come with the spray. I've just returned some boots and you pay for postage both ways. I sent mine back recorded delivery and paid £5.20. Not really too fussed about paying postage because even though the stock is faulty they're still brilliant quality and so much cheaper than full price. Send LFA an e-mail via their site and see what they say. The person I've been talking to has been very helpful.

They were the 2008 stock, they never had any tall westerns in the slight seconds bit in the colour I wanted. Cant really afford to pay another £12 in postage though to get another pair as these cost £156 I think, my husband will kill me!
