Deposited what felt like a ton of coins yesterday at the coin machine in the Chester branch. It's very satisfying hearing the coins swish around in the machine and seeing the totals popping up on the screen and getting the printed receipt.
A lot better than bagging them up myself and using a paying in book !
The deposit also appeard on my internet banking straight away (this was a Saturday after all)
I just take the joy in counting my coin jars, I'm obsessed with it to the point of doing everyone else's jars too
I'm with you CP. I've never used the coin counting machines (didn't realise that some banks have fee free versions) but - except for the largest quantities - I think they take away another basic counting skill.
Give the coins to the kids to count with a small prize to the one who gets closest to the bank's machine total (make sure they wash their hands afterwards).
