  • i have flown all 3 and would go BA everytime... better seats (imo!) top class on demand entertainment options, good food. The only thing that'd put me off now is the strike action.. surely its likely it will go ahead?

Last time i flew Virgin (summer last year) from/to Heathrow the plane was that ancient it had ashtrays in the arms and the entertainment was on a little 5 inch screen that ran to a set schedule!

    Perhaps i was just unlucky!

EDit - Do AA charge to reserve exit row seats? VA charge extra £50 per person per leg and BA have just introduced the same charge.. makes the £600 flight less of a bargain!

As far as I know, AA don't charge extra for exit seats, however, you need to be a Gold (or higher)Aadvantage holder to be able to book them online. Presumably, if they were available on the day, they would then be on general allocation.
  • Booked return flights with Virgin in economy for £465 each yesterday. Flying out Sat Sept 4th 2010 coming back Sat 18th Sept.

From Manchester to Orlando Int direct! :)

Are these sales likely to be repeated again this year? I'm going to LA in September and cannot currently get a direct flight for my dates for less than £460. It was £380 when I started looking!

If my memory serves me right, AA seem to do a fare sale 3 or 4 times a year.
If it helps, here are the current AA offers from London and Manchester.
