The games end at 3:45pm but the results do not appear on the official website until 6pm-ish. Some people can't wait that long.

Then let them pay the OPs phone bill

To me, with the benefit of 3rd person perspective. The question needs to be, what is more important, getting out of debt or providing what appears to be a free service to many different people at no real benefit to yourself?

As for the 2 sim card things, why not get a £10 or so basic phone?

I too fail to understand why 'theesel1994' sends all these texts to his mates when they ought to be able to get the information for themselves, but he obviously is on the right tariff so it either doesn't cost him any more than his standard monthly charge or he doesn't have a problem paying for it. That’s fine.

It's the OP who has the problem with sending so many texts to people all the time and clearly can’t afford it.

Either he/she needs to stop doing it, and find a more affordable way for keeping in touch with people, or find a better value tariff with unlimited texts included in the monthly cost.

The other thing I don't understand is that the OP has stated that the 1800 texts per month include those for business purposes. Surely the 'business' should be paying for these, not OP personally...?
If you will the end, you must will the means.
  • I don't have a problem with my texts on my phone bill it is the OP that had the problem

Of course you're right - my mistake. I was ranting a bit and didn't realise ;)
  • Nobody on here should have to justify their actions to the critics.

I would echo what others have said about getting a PAYG sim and use this. Maybe look at dropping your contract right down or changing it as soon as you can.
Try limiting your texts to one message length per text and spread your allowance over the days - it does mean you'll have to watch what you are sending very carefully.
Unless you're self-employed then your employer should really help towards the costs if it's an essential part of your work. If it isn't, would you be able to state your case to them to get something?

I wish you the best of luck with your debt recovery & a prosperous New Year!

Skype, you have the app for the iPhone and you can use your inclusive data and wifi whilst out and about and then you can still use Skype when at home to keep in contact with friends and family.

I realy then would look at setting up a pay per text. Charge them 10p per message and get them to do it for a month, always get them to pay up front and see if you can put something else in for free to get them in.

When i watch my local team twice a month a friend who lives in london has asked me to text him goals, yellow, red cards, subs for each team and half time / full time. Now i could charge him per text but i don't need to, it comes out of my monthly bundle.

Now if you did that and charged 10p per message you would do quite well and it would pay for the extra texts.

It's not the guy that texts the results who is in financial trouble, it's the OP.

You could always set up a Facebook or Twitter dedicated account and upload results directly after the match for free using your web allowance.

Its then up to them how they access it and dont cost you at all.

Most phones can access FB in one form or another!

Im not sure if anyones already said this to you,but you can downgrade one price band per month after 9 months if its an 02 contract, also if you get an o2 simplicity tariff for £20 you could have unlimited texts as your free bolt on, use your contract sim for the calls and data/wifi.

    hope that helps
