Ohhh dear - I fell off the resolutions for a while as I have been poorly with a nasty throat infection on top of the flu so have been feeling very poorly and not been able to do much - except watch craft on the tele - oo oh!

Did manage to get OH to go to the post office to return some things to QVC though ordered just before xmas and these have now been credited back to our account so have "earnt" a bit more since last post.

Unfortunately I have been tempted by a couple of crafting bits though - mind you they were bargains as I got a whole scrapbook set (12 papers, stickers, rubons, ribbons etc) for just £14.45 inc postage which will be fantastic for my scrapbooking resolution.

I have also managed to get one 6 x 6 page done whilst I've been poorly but just have'nt had the energy for much else.

Back up and running today though so going to try and get some more tidying done inbetween taking my little girl to school, playing with my 2 year old and going back to the school for parents assembly!

Happy crafting - I'm back and I'm gonna stick to the resolutions!!

Oooh also meant to say that OH and I have just upped our overpayment to the mortgage to £500 a month after cancelling lots of DD's and SO's which we no longer need or have paid in full etc - yippeeee!!!!!

Well Avon lady is supposed to be coming today so will get my refund of £28 ish to put towards the total earnt.

Also have applied for a tax refund for last couple of years so if that gets accepted I'll have another £77 for the total - yippeeee!!!!

I have also managed to tidy up some more of my craft room so its getting better slowly but surely.

I am gutted though as Ebay had a free listing day yesterday and I had managed to find 10 lots to list but could'nt as my internet connection went down and then when it finally came back up again it would'nt let me load pictures onto the listings!! The joy of living in a tiny village hey!!!!

Avon lady came and so I now have another £28.25 for the "earnt" pot. I also managed not to buy anything else from the catalogue which is good news.

I had to have a tidy up yesterday (OH's orders) so I did reluctantly as it ment that I could'nt be tidying up my craft room but I did managed to fill a cardboard box full of things to take to a car boot sale when the weather gets a bit better so thats good.

Also its a crafting TSV on QVC today and I have been very good and not purchased it. Gone are the days when I would have bought it just because it was a TSV (it would'nt have mattered that I already have 3 other die cutting systems already!) so I'm well chuffed with mjyself.

I also got delivered yesterday some photos I had ordered from Snapfish at only 1p a print so I'm all ready to scrapbook tonight if I get a chance.

Also more tidying is on the agenda for today as long as my little boy decides he wants to play my game.

    Happy crafting everyone.

    Hi all,

I don't believe it - I have'nt bought anything from QVC all week despite them having shows on everyday this week. I have even watched every show and although was tempted by several things I resisted therefore I have still only spent a small amount.

I have also got some tidying done and received another refund from QVc for an item bought before xmas and returned - thats another £22.58 for the "earnt" pile.

I also sent for some fabric smaples the other day and have got some come through today from Harliquin Harris - www.harlequin.uk.com. The fabric is beautiful, really good quality and each piece is a really good size so I will be using these to make some things for the upcoming craft fair.

I have also spoken to some of the mums at the playgroup I run on Thursday's and several of them expressed an interest in seeing my handmade cards with the possibility that they may buy so I better get making so I can take some in next week.

Its all looking good on the pay off your mortgage front for me at the mo!!!

    Hi everyone - I'm back!!!!

The whole family have been poorly over the last month or so and I had a few setbacks in my life and went through a real "down" stage which made me crumble my resolve and lapse into my old crafting stash ways. I thought I would'nt last but am determined to prove myself wrong and get back on track again now so any support would be greatfully appreciated.

Don't even look at the spent total (it could have been worse but I have managed to send several bits back to gain refunds on).!!!!!!!! The only problem is that my craft room has gone back to being a total tip again so I've got to start almost all over again on that front!!!!

On the plus side I have managed to make some more scrapbook pages and add a bit more to the "earnt" amount thanks to £13.40 from Quidco and £14.50 profit made from small craft fair in my village.

    OK MF here I come!!!!!!!

Good Luck with the craft room and the money making and saving.
Many crafters have similar piles - my sister is very disciplined and always makes only oine project at a time - but I am unable to do that and have similar heaps to yours :)
    Glad your back

  • Well done Craftingmad, I've just read your diary and you're making good progress. It's nice to know I'm not the only one who buys more crafty things in a year than I can ever use. I've vowed not to buy a single crafty thing in 2010...not a button, stamp and definately not paper or card stock.

I miss the shopping and the magazines, but I've done this to justify joining a scrapbooking class which runs for 6 weeks. It's good to get some fresh ideas and techniques on how to use my paper mountain up :jEach class you get a pack designed around a couple of pages. It ensures that I get finished pages and motivates me to use up everything else.
Starting again and working towards our new df life!

Thanks everyone for your kind words and encouragement - they really do mean a lot to me and I'm determined not to let anyone down this time - no more falling off the wagon for me - My name's Emma and I'm a craftaholic!!!!!!!

Good luck herewegoagain2010 with your not spending anything on craft - thats what I should do really as I have so much stuff already I think it will last me into the next centurary but I am trying to be realistic so have set myself a budget of £40 a month to spend on my things as I now (and have proven) that my resolve is not brilliant!!!.

Well my parents are here today so am hoping that I can get lots more tidying done and am also going to pluck up the courage and ask if they could take some of my cards home with them to sell at their clubs they attend (they are both getting a bit now and neither work but they do attend some oap clubs which they love and have a good circle of friends).

Am also looking into cutting monthly budget for food, bills etc to try and save some money towards mortgage today hopefully so I'm back on the straight and narrow again - yippeeee - it feels good!!!!
