They're lovely, I think they would sell at fayres etc, well done0

Agreed, I think those would sell - are there any primary or junior schools near you that do summer or easter fetes? Stalls are cheap and you've got a captive audience with pester power!

Thanks for your lovely words regarding the hair bobbles. Based on what you said I have booked five craft fairs yesterday for 2010 so best start making some more things as the first one is in March. Also have about five other craft fairs I am looking at booking and contacting local schools in the area to see when their school fetes are going to be taking place so I can have a stall.
Managed to tidy some more of my craft room today as well - (gonna load pics on blog after this post). I can see the window now and have natural light again which is great!!! Plus I found some more goodies such as some word book templates (am going to use these to make some photo giftbooks for mums, sister & aunties), three craft CD roms (including one full of templates for stationary boxes, gift boxes etc which will be great to make as gifts) and a scrapbook kit which I had forgotton about - yippeeeee.
I also managed to have a bit of time crafting last night and made a cupcake keyring out of the scraps of felt I had previously found and a keyring chain I found during another of my tidying sessions. Pic is on my blog - http://craftingmad.wordpress.com/. Not brilliant but for a first attempt its not bad (I don't think - let me know your views) and am sure that with some tweaking and improvement in my sewing skills) they will make nice little stocking fillers for family and xmas gifts for teachers etc.
OK gonna play with my little boy for a while before picking daughter up from school (its quiet without her her).
Happy Crafting!
Oooooh - almost forgot still have'nt spent anything (despite being very tempted on the sizzix website by some dies but deciding I can cut out the shapes by hand for now) and the Avon lady is coming today so should get my £30 back for the "earnt" total - yipppeeeeee - who would have thought I would have so much willpower!Mortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020 -

Managed to make a door sign last night out of one of the wooden plaques I had previously found for my little boy's bedroom so that's another present made - wahoo. Will post pic on blog when I get a second.
Also got some more tidying done today - I can see the floor on one side of the craft room - see pics on blog - http://craftingmad.wordpress.com and found another 45p, three stamp sets, blue feather trim (which I'm gonna use on my daughters door plaque I shall make soon) and 6 wooden egg cups which I thought I could decorate and then make felt cozys for to either sell at a craft fair or give as presents. Looks like that could be crafting sorted for tonight!
This getting organized is feeling good.
Avon lady came last night but did'nt have the money on her to give me my refund so I have to wait until she next comes round which is in two weeks time - ohh I'm so looking forward to putting the £30 on my earnt total!Mortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020 -
Hello all,
Bet you thought my resolve had crumbled as I'm posting late tonight!. I have just managed to tidy some more of my craft room so can now see even more floor - see pic son blog - http://craftingmad.wordpress.com/.
Plus whilst tidying I found £1.56 so thats a result and counts towards my earnt total. Sadly I have'nt had anytime for crafting today but I have managed to find a company called www.therecyclingfactory.com which buys used ink cartridges (I have found 18 whilst tidying craft room) and I think they pay £1 for each cartridge so hopwfully I can earn £18 from these. Am going to phone them tomorrow to check that I have got it right - hope so as thats a good amount for getting rid of something thats making my room look untidy!
I have also spoken to a friend about holding a pamper party at her house. Having ventured into the shed quickly the other day to look for somethomg for OH i came across a whole lot of items such as jewellery, candles, incense etc which I used to sell at craft fairs, car boots etc before we moved house so thought that I could maybe sell some via this route. It has also given me lots which I can Ebay, carboot etc to earn me some more money towards the total.
OK off to reward myself with some chocolate.Mortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020 -
Check out boots - they also recycle ink cartridges and give your boots points in return. A while since I looked but could work out more and is a nice way to reward yourself for your frugal ways.
I turned my old mobile phone into a bottle of perfume!0 -
