We weren't able to get out until today because of the weather. We did an ordinary shop a week past Thursday & expected to get out again just before Xmas - to buy Xmas food, pressies etc- well we obviously managed & have loads in store & freezer, but needed to get out today for animal feed & bits & pieces- but been our cheapest X mas ever, but not intentionally.

I went shopping on 22nd December and haven't been since, except for OH going to tesco today for milk and a few carrots. Not planning to go until at least thursday (hopefully for a few bargains!), and if not then, then on saturday....

  • Haven't been since christmas eve when picked up some bargains and hoping to get by in next few weeks with only buying milk, fresh fruit & veg as freezer, cupboards and fridge still stacked, didn't eat half as much as expected!

We have eaten hardly anything. Still got loads of Turkey (thought we may have 10 and ended up with 5), a huge ham and a large piece of beef plus cheese, pate. olives etc etc. Some years we have loads of people drop by and end up making meals but this year I think with the weather we have had no visitors. Both fridges still full.

  • I didn't think I had gone particularly mad with shopping for Xmas (went on Monday 21st) but still haven't had to buy anything else! Saying that we are off to Sainsbury's today just to re-stock on fruit and veg, milk and more bread for the freezer. Hopefully that will keep us going till Friday next week when we should be back to our normal shopping routine. The supermarkets could have been shut for a week over Xmas and I wouldn't have missed them.

Had to get some stuff BH Monday as OH went back to work yesterday and today. Got loads of reduced meat and bread, so don't really need to get very much (maybe some more diner type things and lunchbox stuff, but that's about it
