I can do granny squares :j:j. Am feeling rather chuffed with myself if you hadn't noticed. I have a small pile of bright pink ones and am going to do some white ones later and dd wants me to make them into a blanket for her dolls. Probably a good sized project to start with :rotfl:. Once again a huge thank you to Hart44 for sending me her Art of Crochet issue 1, it's been really useful!!
I'm also knitting too, but as it's easter chicks (from a free Alan Dart pattern) I'm doing them when dd is in bed. I have about 9 chicks with eggs to do........:eek:0 -
Finally got around to ringing Art Of Crochet as I'm still waiting for issues 2&3, and they told me they next dispatch is the end of the month! So probably going to have issue 9 in the shops before I see my issues 2 and 3 (with some stroke of luck maybes they'll send two packages at the same time but I'm not holding my breath!) So wish I'd just gone out and bought a copy each week now!0

Finally, I've finished!!!!!
I wish I could say it went without a hitch but I really struggled understanding part of the pattern on her hair. I tried over and over and just couldn't figure out what I've done wrong.
I left it for a day....following morning I made myself a cuppa (herbal tea) and on the label to the tea bag it said "A relaxed mind is a creative mind" ...and after that it just clicked.

I have just bought myself some chunky wool and a bigger hook to start a bag for the summer, I am hoping it will match my pink Birkenstocks. I will post a pic if I ever get finished but it looks very simple. Then again I am only a beginner:DStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Artydoll - love the bear, very cute!
I now have a small pile of granny squares and was wondering how to join them?? Obviously for my knitting I normally sew it up, but have just slip stitched a couple together and it was much easier but it kind of shows up. Although that may be because my colours are such a contrast - bright pink and white.0
