  • I booked the Uttoxeter one which is 7miles away from alton towers.I have stayed here before its OK, nothing special but a basic room ect. good for Alton towers, takes about quarter of an hour.
  • realy want to do legoland in may/june, see most the nearby travel lodges are £9

i dont feel slough an option as £14+ a nnight for parking just dont seem too good

    anyone stayed bracknell central befor

i haven't stayed at Bracknell but just booked the Heathrow T5 to go to Legoland... only few miles away and parking (according to the hotel info) is £5 for 24 hrs.. thought it was better option than the windsor or slough ones because of parking situation and DD will enjoy looking at the planes!!

Thanks for reminder, booked 3 nights for the family at Worthing Seafront in August and booked Ashbourne in May to go to Alton Towers.

I have stayed at Worthing Travelodge. and very nice it was too! Breakfast was superb-I was there with DS and DD, both of whom ate free, so £7.50 for a full cooked breakfast for the three of us. They have some see view rooms, that you can request on a first come, first served basis, so worth putting a request in early.

    Enjoy your break!

  • Brilliant thanks just booked Hearthrow T5 for when we gon on holiday :j:j:j:j
  • For anyone trying to do a couple of days away with a family and not sure where to go, the Warminster & Beckington Travelodges would be ideally situated for either Longleat (passports on Tesco deal vouchers) or Center Parcs (you can get a day pass through the local tourist board).

There's loads to do at Longleat so you could easily spend 2/3 days there.

We live quite close so we usually spread it over about 4 afternoons a year.
    • Safari Park & Pets Corner (which includes a parrot show)
    • Railway, Simulator, Old Joes Mine, Mirror Maze
    • Safari Boat, Maze & Postman Pat village
    • Adventure Castle (we take a picnic for this one)
We don't tend to do the House, Grounds or Gardens because our boys are a little on the active side!

They also have different events throughout the year (eg Tractor Ted for a weekend in June & Sportacus was there in August) so it's worth checking their website for events - unfortunately still showing 2009 at the mo

Many thanks for the information. I have booked breakfast online and will ring them to see if we can get a seaview.
  • Thanks for this, just managed to book 2 family rooms (5 of us) at Tolworth, Surrey for £31, not as good a bargain as last year but still very good. Was restricted with dates as DH works shifts, booked 1 night 1/9. Had a great time last year, did Thorpe Park and Chessington (paid in the main with Tesco vouchers).

    Thanks again!

Hi this is my plan but both those lodges seem to only have the odd day here and there for £19 so im attemting to get rooms at Devizes which it says is roughly 20 miles from longleat because they have blocks of cheap rates!

In terms of availability, I don't think these sales are as good as they used to be. I can only find £9 rooms in places I want for 1 or 2 days midweek, the Saturday price goes up to £42. A good deal if you can get the nights you want.
