    Hmm ...

Maybe someone can clear this up. If you don't pay the £1.50 then cancelling means you don't get a refund on saver bookings. However, if you have paid the £1.50 then you are entitled to a refund even on saver bookings.

Three nights at Blackpool South shore for £57 in the middle of August seems like a good deal to me.

no you cant cancel saver rooms by choice (which is an option with all other rates) - but the insurance does cover you for things beyond your control that mean you cant use the room - so car breaks down, your train/bus, etc. is delayed by more than 6hrs, a death or serious injury

Thanks for clarifying that Flea. I do think they should make this clearer when you book.

    Cheers

DAMN! Just booked Slough for 2 nights and then read the car parking! Its gonna cost more to park the car than for us to stay!!!

We have stayed at Slough before for Legoland and just opposite the main entrance is a public car park. If you go into the travelodge they will give you a concession ticket to pay a fraction of the normal parking cost. We only paid about £5 but then we were gone each day by about 9am. Hope this helps.

there are, but only for odd nights - london rarely, has block bookings

I managed a 2 night stay for London for January 2010 (Covent Garden) and April 2010 during the last sale. Both booked around 4 am in the morning on the day the sale should have started at 6 am. London dates go megga quick.

  • The merlin passes will definately get used this year.

    QUOTE]

You don't need to queue in the ticket office for the London Eye. Just get in the queue outside to get on the Eye and show your pass. We wasted time in side.

The Aquarium is near the Eye too, so that is ok for a quick visit with your Merlin pass.
