    Hey SH!

Thanks for popping in. Yes, have had a pretty good summer. One more thing to do and I'm done. Have a half mara to do in two weeks time. I haven't prepared well enough but just did a 10mile run today and feeling ok.

Today I ran the Bristol half mara. It took me around 2hr 40min, official times not out yet. Felt good till 8/9miles then started to slow down. Last 3 miles were the hardest, and a little stupid incline at mile 11. But the very last time was a killer, I almost wanted to give up but I kept telling myself I could do it and that I was gong to run all the way and I did, just. Next time I definitely need to do more training. I want to get down to 2hrs.

7 days and I'll be debt free. Next Monday is pay day and I'll be calling to pay off the remainder of the debt.

About the bubbly. Moet & Chandon was on offer in the green supermarket but not any more :(. But then I though, do I really want to spend £25 on something I'm just going to consume in one sitting? Not sure.

I'd really like to able to save some money but also do stuff and buy stuff. But my debt payments are small and won't really go that far. I really need a better job. BF has just gotten a payrise again as is earning about 10K more than I. I need a kick up the derrier!

Well, the long-awaited DFD is fast approaching.
I'm obviously really looking forward to it and can't wait till next Monday which is Pay Day and DFD. But I'm already thinking about the future, being post DFW. I'm only going to be £300 better off a month and it doesn't really feel that much when you start thinking about what you'd like to do with it. Not just the doing more stuff and buying more stuff (I need a lot of stuff as clothes shopping has been on hold for a long time). But the laying future foundations bit. I have no pension at the moment and at my age, they reckon I should put, guess how much, towards my pension per month? Oh yes, about £300. This is obviously not going to happen but it's something I really need to think about. There are lot of things I'd like to buy, but what being in debt has taught me is that you don't really need all the things you'd like to have. So I'm still going to/have to be careful with money. I don't think my life really is going to change that much. But at least I'm not paying out to someone else. And, £300 a month is £3600 a year.
