    Forecast budget for April -

    Outgoings -

    £100 - digs
    £35 - phone bill
£100 - fuel(not run my car for a whole month yet but it should be about this)
£68.75 - 6 months road tax(might get a year that would be £110 or so)
£150 - insurance(cant remember exact figure, think it was about £103? being safe and overbudgeting)
    £65 - entertainment(average so far)
    £8 - Lottery through work
    £10 - Random munch
    £48.06 - Loan Payment
£50 - Payment to credit card
£98.97 - Clear Capital One card

Total spends - £725.78.... but not too bad really!

    Income -

Recent pays have been £642.79 a fortnight. This is my usual 7.30 - 5 Mon - Fri plus an average of 7.5 hours a Saturday in overtime, which iv reach the past fortnight and its payday this Friday!

So April the 2nd, 16th and 30th are paydays.

    £642.79 X 3 = £1928.37 :eek::T

    I think thats well good?

A difference of £1,202.59. Il use this thread to report every spend and penny i can get my hands on. That means i can clear the cards and save £500 next month :T

    £100 - digs
    £35 - phone bill
    £100 - fuel
    £150 - insurance
    £80 - entertainment
    £8 - Lottery through work
    £10 - Random munch
    £48.06 - Loan Payment

That should be a months(upped entertainment £15) (and insurance is a bit higher than it is i think)

Thats a total of £531.06. Allowing the rest for a little extra to loan or anything etc spends should be £600 tops.

    £600 x 2(May + June) = £1200.

    With 4 pays = £642.79 = £2,571.16 :eek::eek:

£1,371.16 difference for the 2 months leading upto my 3 weeks off and pay rise.

Written down its so simple yet amazing. Nows my chance.

Aim spends were about - £725.78....

    Spent so far -
    £34.01 - petrol
    £3 jet wash
    £40 entertainment
£100 betting losses :eek:adds up, knocked it straight on the head though

    total = £177.01 out
spends i know about still to come - £100 digs
    £35 phone
    £100 petrol
    £172 car insurance
    £68.75 road tax
    £30 entertainment
    £8 lottery at work
    £48.46 loan payment
    £15 credit card payment
    £98.97 to clear capital one

Total spends to come = £676.18
    + spent = £775.15 spends for April

    Income - £646.24 on the 2nd
+ pay on the 16th and 30th April =£600(1 half Saturday as opposed to 2 half days) = £1200 in, £676.18 out. £523.82 difference. Hope to get that + about £100 more put into ISA+ clear both cards at the end of the month. Thatl mean £800+ in ISA, £700 in saving bond + a bit of cash in current account.

Clearing my cards and putting my money to good use instead of leaving it sitting around.

    So

    £97.98 to clear capital one.
£234.42 to rbs credit card. These 2 dont get added to the budget as the money on these 2 cars for fuel, cost of car etc have already been counted for.

    So £332.40 out to cards.

Now just £500 on rbs credit card - will be cleared on the last pay this month (30th April)

Expenses before payday on the 16th - £172 insurance and £48.06 loan payment = £220.06. So about £278 left.....

Away to throw it at my credit card!

£275 out to rbs credit card! So £225 left to pay and thats my cards cleared! I have £225 in my ISA but im leaving it there as it was in from last years tax year!

£607.40 out to cards today :)

Roll on the 16th! More money in = more money out, £600 or so in. Only spends will be £135 digs and phone, £65 fuel, £225 on clearing card = £425. Will still have £175 to put to ISA then Pay on the 30th will be £600, of which £68.75 is road tax, £50 fuel, £30 entertainment. Total = £148.75. £451.25 left to be saved :D Things are looking up.

Well another day, another dollar as they say. NSD today. Spent a few pennies over the weekend. £40.38 on petrol, £39.88 on a meal out and night out and £1 on a newspaper.

So £81.26 spent over the weekend but its been a great one! Worked most of the day Saturday so earned nearly that in the 1 day since its time and a half.

Total spent this month - £430.15. With £135 digs and phone + £48.06 loan + £40 fuel = £223.06 to come. Total of £653.21. + £607.40 out to cards already. With another £225 to go out to clear 1 remaining card. Doing so well :D 2 more pays this month, will see me + £650+ come the end of April :D

£9.50 on petrol. £3 on lottery syndicate with work. £100 to go out for digs and £35 for phone. This has been counted for in Sig. So il be 4 months down, 8 to go and £5k down, 5 left in the budget.

Think im doing well. Payday Friday. Shouldnt need to spend any of it. Same again with the next one though, shouldnt need to take much from it.

Well think this is due an update! Dont like budgeting every single penny, come on im trying to save not struggling to get by.

Wanting to get as financally secure as i can. Im going to pull my finger out and do whatever i can to get myself in a fantastic position.

By the end of this year id like to/am going to try my best to have a nice £5,000 in my current account. Easier said than done maybe but im going to give it a go. Car insurance is away to go down as i have a years no claims. So hopefully i can get it down to £110 a month from £170 a month its at now.

Pay is away to go up in 2 weeks which will be a great help.

I love having money, just 4 figures in my account would make me feel alot more secure.

Just need to get my car insurance down(looking at getting a bike right now for cheaper comuting, insurance, running costs etc)

If i get a bike i think il get rid of my car and just get a cheap banger of a van for when the winters here and its not ideal to take my bike.

This will all obviously cost money but hopefully should still manage to get £5k together over the next 6 months.
