Well they should but iv been told they set up the direct debit so only they can cancel it? Just a joke to be fair:mad:

Think im just all worked up after using a sledge hammer all day at work today. I was fairly going for it, first time iv ever had to use one at work but it was because it was too cold to build. Roll on payday i say, time will start going a bit quicker again, i love my weekends with the gf after a week at work! And the money in my account will build up as quick as the snow did last week!!! :j:j:j

Check if they are part of the dirct debit guarantee scheme....I thought all banks were to be honest. They should be able to cancel if you given them written notice to.

Written notice at any time I believe. Dont accept what I say as gospel btw but im pretty confident. IF they are part of the direct debit guarantee scheme of course.

    Who do you bank with?

I know what you mean about the finger joints....im an office monkey, not sure I could cope with manual labour anymore!

Do a quick google on the direct debit guarantee...sounds like you might be able to use this with your bank if they are saying they cant cancel it.

If this is a direct debit of course and not just a recurring card payment :)

I cancel direct debits when a contract comes to an end because I just dont trust most companies to stop charging me.....

The alternative of course is just to use the sledgehammer on them :D

Well i spent £40 going out last night, £31 on diesel today and £32.96 on 2 new tools i needed for work. Total spending for the month is at £354.22. Shouldnt go any higher. Maybe another £30 for diesel but that should be all. Anyway il be well under the £500 a month i can spend if im to get by on £6,000 this year. At the start of next month il have road tax to get, £104.50 for 6 months or £190 for 12. Think il go with the later since im keeping my van as long as i can as itl work out cheaper sorting it than buying someone elses junk i think.

Got some brilliant news for everyone.....this Friday.....ITS PAYDAY:j:j:j:T:T:T

£534 in that i will ""hold" in my current account. Shouldnt need to spend any of it, just my tax and diesel. Will also have a night out to pay for and some flowers, choccies,a card and a small something for gf for vday.Hopefully have at least £200 left when its the next payday on the 12th of Febuary. That will mean iv got at least £800(i will definitly work a Saturday to get an extra £70 in my pay :D) With the weather i couldnt work yesterday but hopefully il get to next weekend. Will pay a little of credit card.

Out of that £800, £135 for phone and digs and £120 for diesel(this months and next will be on capital one card, paid off in full middle of the month) Also £50 loan repayment but £495 left to hold until my next pay on the 26th of Feb, which is my favourite ones, the paydays that land after the middle of the month when everyhings been paid for not a penny of it needs to go out. So my balance should be at £1100 come March. Next pay after that is 12th, another £600 at least hopefully, this will be needed for £135 phone and digs, £65 diesel, £50 loan repayment means £250 out, plus £50 or so to credit card(should be around £400 after that) That leaves £300 + £1100 in account carried over for sorting my van and getting it through its mot or getting another little one if i really have to. Hopefully £200 will sort my van and get it passed, that will leave £1200 in account before getting knocked up to £1800 on my favourite payday the 26th. Will then pay off credit card and have a well deserved night out. £1500 or so in account, will knock it down to £1000 and use this as my float. Then comes saving £600 for insurance in June and a £1500 debt to see off!

is it this easy then is it :rotfl:

    WHAT A RANT
