Hi,
don't know if you got this sorted but I'm with RBS, and i've cancelled DD with them more than once. Do you bank online? Just log on to online banking and go to 'manage payments' (or something like that). Then select the DD you want to cancel, make sure it's highlighted, and click the cancel button. Done.
Good luck getting it sorted.0 -
Well i finally managed to get it cancelled. Heres hoping its done and dusted now. I think im going to keep the next few pays and get my mot done a bit early - runs out 22nd of March. Anything left after this will be to pay off credit card. Hopefully i can then save at least £1700 by June.Work in progress...Update coming July 2012.

Oops in my big rant im a week late with some of my payday dates! Ohwell i got paid yesterday - £534.46 in from work, just my standard 2 weeks and 18p in intrest and its still all there! Balances are as followed -
Loan £1,506.26(intrest not been added for this month yet - will be £25 or so)
Credit card - £438.24 ( again i think intrest will go on at the end of the month)
Current account - £534.97
Savings bond - £702(locked until end of November, cant add or withdraw)
Spent £1.10 on a scot ads today, plus waiting to hear how much my number plates are, will probs be about £20 for the 2. Still on budget for £6k spends all in for the year. Hope so much i manage as if i do il manage to save so much and get rid of the debt!! Hopefully i can hold onto this pay though!Work in progress...Update coming July 2012.

Can someone tell me if its just this simple to work out my wages?
Working my usual fortnight + 1 Saturday overtime pays me £606.91 on £6.95
my hourly rate goes upto £9.01 in the summer so is it simply £606.91 divided by £6.95 times by my new hourly rate of £9.01
£606.91 / £6.95 = (£87.33 X £9.01) = £786.85 take home for usual fortnight + 1 Saturday
so times that by 2 and im taking home £1573.70 a month? Is that right?
Based on a 45 hour week x 2 = 90 hours(78 normal + 12 time and a half + 9.5 hour Saturday)
This just seems alot at 19 ??Work in progress...Update coming July 2012.

Also got a take home in my bank statement of £599.32, think this is the amount, not £606.91? Still what does it work out for take home?Work in progress...Update coming July 2012.

Well an update on finances front.
Paid £551.75 today to CLEAR the RBS platinum card :j
Capital one is at £33.23(not sure if £20.05 deisel from yesterday is on yet, dont think so
) - This gets cleared middle of each month so in about a week or so.
Loan is at £1,529.84  - interest added on end of last month - £23.58, minimum payment of £51.13 will come out in about a week aswel.
So im currently owe (say the Capital one balance + what went on yesterday = £53.28 + the loan amount of £1,529.84) = £1583.12. But £1478.71 after clearing the card + making min payment on loan next week.
So thats £104.41 out. Plus i have £100 digs, £35 phone and id say £30 for valentines card/weekend = £269.41.
Meaning i will hopefully have £216.51 in current account + £534.46 pay(2 weeks on the 19th)
£750.97 in current account and only other spend for the month will be desiel(on capital one getting cleared middle of next month)
So then next pay on the 5th = £750.97 + £534.46 = £1285.43 a month today, mark my words :rotfl:
obsessed lol
then its usual months outgoings middle of the month, another pay on the 19th before dreaded mot on the 22nd *fingers crossed it gets through ok*
Note that the pays are without any Saturdays, hopefully if the weather gets better i can get some overtime in...
Good luck to me....:beer:Work in progress...Update coming July 2012.
