    You enjoying it?

Are you studying at Uni full or part time? Or OU course?

Im going to apply for a part time law degree, so just wondered how other people find studying a degree and working as well, bit of a juggling act I think, just wondered how people cope and manage their time.

I bet thats weight off your shoulders finishing one and 1300 words left on the other one, will be done in no time!! :D

You know how to find them Snags :rotfl:

Or are there a disproportionate amount of strange blokes out there generally and the invention of t'internet dating has just highlighted the issue :rotfl:

Bit of both, but mainly the latter I feel! :rotfl:

Single men in their 30s fall into two camps as far as I can tell.

There's the 'not had kids yet, getting a bit desperate for a family' brigade. I don't particularly want more children, and certainly don't want to rush into having another baby just because I'm getting on a bit and don't have much time left. So generally I avoid them.

Then there are the 'second timers', who have already got kids. There is usually a relationship break up that they are still hurting/bitter over, so they are scared of getting involved, and mess women around because they either don't really know what they want, or are just too cowardly to take a risk.

Men in their 20s don't appeal to me, I like experience. :D Older men seem to be a better bet (generally if they haven't had kids by mid-40s it's because they don't really want them, and if there was a difficult break up, they seem to get over it more easily, or perhaps have had longer to get used to it), but I haven't met one yet who has the spark and the energy to challenge me on every level, and without that I get bored.

I skipped the whole 30's men thing Snags and went straight to the 40's - it seems to work ;)

Katie - I would settle into work first and see how you find it - you might get a really easy job or you might end up working loads of hours...
  • I am on the hunt for school uniforms-light blue tops in particular. Having a mare.

Does anyone need any size 5-6 girls polo tops in light blue btw, DD has grown out of everything, they are like belly tops on her now...

I've got an in-betweener. Mid 30's, own house, steady job, one long relationship before me, couple of years on his own. Almost two years now with me, can't say he loves me, not ready for me to move in...But such a lovely, thoughtful bloke who treats you so nice you're not sure if to leave or stick around... But I'll leave it till new years to decide.

Thats it! I give up, sick to death of trying to save a few quid when someone is pizzing it up the wall every 5 mins
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

Just haven't met any 40-odd year olds that have appealed so far Becks, but I'm pretty sure it's the way to go! :D

I've dated a couple of men in their 40s, one was clearly just desperate for a younger woman so he could cling onto his youth (felt like I was dating a teenager, even though he was almost 10 years older), the other was soooo middle aged that it bored me to tears.

Then there was Mr Friday...long forgotten thankfully, but what an ar$£ he turned out to be! Shrek, Mark II.

I'm not into clubbing or drinking till I throw up, I like dates that involve coffee, art galleries, the theatre, walks, country pubs...but at the same time, I am not ready to snuggle up in slippers and a dressing gown every night, I want a life and a bit of excitement (and to be thrown around the bedroom wearing sexy and highly impractial underwear). :T :D
