I've just had some wingnut on the phone to complain about a £40 fee that would be charged to him by the Dd company we use if he defaulted...which he HASN'T done. And has NEVER done. He just thinks it's immoral. !!!!!!, go away.Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0

Pooky - thats exactly how I work - do the stuff you can and stuff the rest

About your OH - being made redudant was the best thing that happened to my mum, it took her a few years but she got into chairing a voluntary organisation and loves it now, and because its not paid she can go in when she can rather than being presurised to work

Thanks Inky, I'm okay, just suffering really badly with insomnia for the last few days, and getting those horrible, disturbing, waking nightmares just at the point I'm about to drop off.
I was very low for a couple of months at the end of last year, but got a few things clear in my mind and felt much better. Christmas was not the horrible time I expected it to be. Not sure why I'm suddenly so rubbish at sleeping, because while I had flu, I was sleeping for England!
How are you, lovely to see you posting.
Sorry to hear that Snags, I don’t have anything useful to add, that’ll cheer you up, have a dodgy hug :grouphug:
I’ve not been up to much, made the obligatory visit to friends on Christmas day (so I wasn’t alone) I don’t really like Christmas, brings back memories of all the awful Christmas’s I had a s a child
Apologies for the delay in replying, internet connection is really, really slow today, (although it could be the operator
) perhaps it’s too cold !
Just done the tried & tested IT solution “switch it off & switch it on again”, seems to have done the trick

I can't see that they'll have any choice but to get rid to be honest, he's not allowed to drive and his office is 45 miles away - he can't work from home due to the confidental nature of his job. Dr also said that if he were able to work from home it would be limited to around an hour a day due to confussion from medication/pain etc.
He's worked ruddy hard to get to this point in his career but that's life I suppose....at least he can still have a laugh and joke.
I now need to find out how PHI affects benefits - luckily the company policy kicks in now and is payable until he's able to either work full time (unlikely) or 65."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
