OK so I guess he didnt do it on purpose and I am sure that one day I will laugh at the fact that he went to start the car last night just to check it was OK and then promptly forgot so it was left running all night or until it ran out of petrol and then the battery died ..................good GOD!!!!!!!!!!

He has now had to go and buy a petrol can and some petrol then try to get it started.............

    I need a drink!
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

    Oh dear Lou!!

    So....40s men are out.....

50s? I do have an offer! He is sweet and incredibly loaded, but I just couldn't, and even if I could, I would hate the fact people would assume I was in it for the money.

I could date women instead, but 2 lots of PMT, and competition for the bathroom?? _pale_

I'm not into clubbing or drinking till I throw up, I like dates that involve coffee, art galleries, the theatre, walks, country pubs...but at the same time, I am not ready to snuggle up in slippers and a dressing gown every night, I want a life and a bit of excitement (and to be thrown around the bedroom wearing sexy and highly impractial underwear). :T :D

I think thats everyone isnt it?? (once you're over 20 anyway :o)

I never dated an older man till my current OH (well a few years older but not 16 years!) and its so nice to be with someone who is secure in themselves and isnt afraid of holding an opinion or doing things his own way :D

I cant be doing with simpery men :o, I like intellectual debate, politics, books, world history - so I want to 'argue' about stuff that matters :D

Me and OH are going out again on the weekend to find the nazi memorial just off the mall as we couldnt find it last time - now thats my kind of date  (with a coffee chucked in of course :p)
  • Lou, Sorry, I shouldn't laugh...but he left the car running ALL NIGHT!?!?

I think you've just described the perfect man for many women in their 30s!

I don't remember Mr Friday?

Make sure they've done the early 40s mid life crisis bit - much younger woman/wanting to drive a red sports car malarkey and then think about seeing them.

My OH is now 51. He was 45 when we met and whilst he initially had enthusiasm, he very quickly (ie within months) ran out of steam and even the steam was more a bit of overheated condensation

Doesn't mean to say that all men over 45 are on the downward spiral though ;)

  • My DH and I would love to get in the car (pre-kids) and look for ancient ruins etc.

Now, he goes out with his mates and the highlight of my week is run club...
