 Well done to Ms Bob for getting her placement.
:T Well done to Mrs Bob for converting Mr Bob.
 Well done to Mr Bob for staying alive this long.
So, just to clarify, he did a voluntary termination with the car?
If so did he do this in writing and send the letter by recorded delivery or was this done over the phone? I would get something sent in writing confirming it is a voluntary termination if you haven't already done so. I've read a few threads where the HP company classed it as a reposession and it couldn't be proved otherwise. Don't want you getting bit by that (i know you're cunning enough on your own but just wanted to stress this as it could be important).
I didn't realise that Martin was on tonight until i was flicking and saw a debt busting programme. Only criticism i have is that he mentioned that it may be possible to reduce costs like council tax and other things, but didn't explain that part for the viewers. It looked liek a great success though for the couple and you could see the relief at the possible savings they could make. After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91
Dad Gift 6k ¦ Savings & Inv Tst: £2,500
Loan 10k: £0 ¦ Dad 5.5k: £2,270 ¦ LTSB: £0 ¦ RBS: £0 ¦ Virgin £0 ¦ Egg £0
Total Owed: £2,270 (+6k) 11/08/20110 -

He did this over the phone and they send forms. So i will send out a recorded delivery letter.
The other criticism of the show- they showed the RAC voucher conversion by Tesco. When we tried to do that it was full face value, so no 4x the face value. Still a lot of peeps wouldn't have thought of it anyway:D
Mr.B was in a bit of a mood last night- i think he was hoping for a reprieve re the car:o But i am not a mind reader, so i may just be guessing on that.
Not a lot to report for today as is a NSD. I did get paid, but i am on short wages and they have given me back dated monies so not all bad:D Oh and my petrol.
But it will all go by the time i have paid the mortgage and sundries- oh well. Onwards and upwards.:DBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
Other bit of good news for today- i have quite a bit of extra work
Also making payment to car today- i checked up on amount owed and i am thinking that with the extra work i can pay it off in two months..i was so excited i checked to see how much car was worth....like you do! Just in case;) and i was offered £3785. Tempted to make a fast buck there i can tell you. To pay off is now £2000..ooooooo
But at least i know that if i have to i can. I am thinking ahead that if Mr. B does need another car well i can pay out right for two cheaper cars....still i am crossing fingers, toes and everything else that this works.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Firstly big congrats to your DD, she must be made up (sorry I should have said really pleased, a lot of people dont get that phrase! :rotfl:)
And good news on your extra work, dont overdo it though and take some time out for yourself.

Morning Bob, promise I'll visit more often.... Good news on Ms Bob, and Mr B has been converted!!! Did he go over the bar cleanly, or bounce in off of the post? ( Rugby:D)
I've won a small victory over one of the Debt Collection ****ers! The Company have to pay ME £150 for 'distress caused by exerting undue pressure to increase or extend existing borrowings or to raise more funds to pay them off etc...' :j...one small step from a £7K write-off.:D stay wonky

:rotfl: I often say "Made up" or "Chuffed"- people will think i like a lot of make up or am a Train spotter!:rotfl::rotfl:
I just want to get all the work i can in- then put my feet up over the summer. It will be worth it if i am personally DF by then, it will be a relief to pay off Mr.B's stuff after that.:D
Everything is calm this morning i have had a lie in- unheard of, but in all honesty i have a headache from lying in.Nothing a few cups of tea would fix.:DBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

He went cleanly over- luckily for him:cool::rotfl::rotfl:
Well done on the debt collector people. I hope you do get it written off or at least a reduced settlement.:DBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

All good on the belly front Ta Bob. Still on 'light duties' at work, which mostly means being asleep in my cab ( usually when stationary:D).
Flicking through my 'Country Walking' magazine and making plans, Hadrians Wall is looking the best bet.:D stay wonky

Lovely area- i particularly like the bit around Housesteads. Some nice, not too boggy walks...
Good that you are on light duties- don't go straining!Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
