So am i Taxi, i know cars cost- and feel a bit like a harpy...but a lighter shouldered harpy at the moment.

DD is over the moon, and hopes to get a few offers!

Just watching Martin on telly ...i hope it sinks in.

Once he's made a start then that'll probably lead onto him being happy and finding other ways to sort other stuff out.

I know he found it a relief- once the decision was made, he was off and sorted. I think he will sleep better tonight.

Lots of positives and we have to work on putting regrets behind us now. It did also bring it home that DD is going to Uni and well enough said- we know how much it costs. We were financially prepared for eldest, it seems wrong not to be for her.
DS didn't want to go, but we supported him in other ways- college trips etc. None of them are treated differently and if DS wants to go, then we will support him as much as we can. He is a good little saver though.:D

hey Bob (&GJ) your DFW days are as doomed as a dodo - soon you won't be on these boards, you'll be joining the wise ones doing the saving and investing and MFW thing

ah well as my old RE teacher said when lecturing on thrift "would you rather be with wise virgins in the light, or the foolish ones in the dark" - for me its foolish all the way!!

I'll be around for a while yet Mark. Funnily enough i originally joined for the MFW- until i found out:o I was an avid follower of the TV show, mortgage free in two years.

Yep indedee ISOM, although now it has happened i feel a bit deflated.:rotfl: Still, we had an argument just to keep things on an even keel:D
