    bob....sorry on two counts....

    1. the poss bad job news, and
    2. I've not been in to say  for a while :(

Hurrah !! 's on two counts....

    1. Mr B and the car :)
    2. the poss new improved jobs to apply for regardless :)

    ...and...errmm.....another pair..

    1. hiya hun :D
    2. promise to try harder to not neglect my bob-chatting duties

right, must go and do some more techie stuff (main reason I've been a bit too busy to pop by, but hey-ho)

    in true Arnie stylee....

    I'll be back (honest ;))

edit:- jeez, I've just noticed this is my first post on mse for 2 WEEKS  what is the world coming to

    Hi back G-J:D

No worries about keeping up- i do keep saying i will post updates in a different colour- it makes skim reading easier:rotfl::rotfl:
Two whole weeks ??You must have been busy.

I am quietly optimistic about the job- as in i have been very pro active, so even if i have something to worry about- i feel ok about it. If that makes sense.

    NIce to see you about.:D

Looks like things are changing for the better there Bob. Just hope the job situation pans out okay.
I hope you told him how pleased you were, but not in Blackadder style.

What other style would i tell him in:D:rotfl::rotfl:

We had a *proper* talk George, as in for once he actually heard what i was saying. I know we do hear, but he listened and got where i was coming from. Instead of resenting what i was doing:o

He now knows that by my taking on the main payments for mortgage etc then the overdraft should have been gone:o:o and he apologised for thoughtless spending and incurring overdraft fees as well as creating extra to clear up. So i think quite a few savings have been made and i hope a modicum of peace for him. He will now have money to spare and feel like he *can* plan rather than leaving it all to me.

So i don't expect miracles- but i hope it is a proper turning point and not another false start. I understand and know how galling it is to work and not have the money to do things. I did point out that i haven't done much myself- i haven't had a haircut for over 6 months (it is curly and i get away with a bit) but it does need doing. I put every spare penny into clearing things, paying for College related stuff etc. I budget hard- menu plan, etc. I could really have cried when i saw the overdraft back at the same starting point- as i felt it was all for nothing.

I felt guilty buying a few new clothes and that was only £15:o

And now i feel a tad worried that i can put less to overpaying than before. SO more MSE strategies will be put into place.:money:

So anyway less maudlin stuff from me and onwards and upwards i hope.

  • Sorry for lack of updates- just had a really carp week.

Started off with a £250 bill for a sensor in my car:mad: Lost a day's pay on top of that:mad::mad::mad::mad:

    But other than that-

Grocery bill - have just spent £38 so will have my final total for the month:j Is under £200 and cupboards are bursting.

Mr.B has sorted everything out for car:j and negotiated cheapest possible fare- so has sorted that out at £125 for the month:D Which is £70 less than previous quote:eek: and over £130 less than his petrol would have been and parking:T

So now this month we don't have to find tax and insurance or pay for his car:D There will be a final bill of sorts, but he is paying that back at a rate that should be ok. Breathes a sigh of relief there.

He can use my car on Saturdays- unless of course he prefers the train. Which i suspect he will as it is quite awful on that stretch of motorway at the moment.Time wise he will only be about 20mins in difference to car. So that is good too.

What else: Well DD2 just got accepted for her Uni place, one of them! So she is happy.

My job not so good, but i expected that. Still, i am not too bothered just a tad annoyed that they treat us like we don't know what's going on- the rumour mill is in full operational mode.:D:rotfl:

But i have contacts as they say- so will be ok.

That's about it- just glad week is nearly over.

Alas Dragon- Mr.B had the car on HP:o He could have handed it back at any point in the last year as he had paid over half. So now he is further in debt and struggled to find petrol and make payments- well i had to pay a lot of money into the account in order to fund petrol. He has put money and payments onto credit cards, and then had to give in a negotiate a lower payment plan ( i thought he had looked into train fares) so he has incurred late fees etc. There was no telling him, that if he handed it back then that was the end of it- but no he had to go on to the bitter end...and he has reached it:o:o:o Put us all through enormous stress for what i consider a piece of tin.
I honestly think it was the ultimate test- and TBH i am sure if i had said here is the money to fund it then he would have carried on. The car has been the cause of many arguments re payments, upkeep etc and the fact he couldn't afford it in the first place.

I did a rough caculation of costs

    Initial fee

    £300 ish

3 years 6 months of full payment at £204 per month-APR is about 10%

    6 months of reduced-£100

Trade in of my car:mad: £700 ( rubbish trade in)

Petrol-Averaged £300 per month and above at times (That's a conservative guess)

    Tax- £209 per year

Insurance- 4 years worth roughly £1100

Interest on petrol paid for on CC and repayments on CC and running up of overdraft--God Knows. If i make a conservative guess i would frighten myself.

Services, tyres, excess insurance payments- cos he has had a few accidents- not his fault-£2000:eek:

Accessories ( he wanted a roof rack and overhead carrier) £170

He will owe the last 6 months payments and i have told him to get them to knock off the charges.. But he could have none at all, a good credit rating and a bit of money in the bank.:o That really gets me.

He now has over 100000 on the clock- so it would be bloomin worthless anyway.

    Cost to sanity- hmmmm:rotfl::rotfl:

But i am chuffed about DD:D:T
