Hi everyone
Hope you're all safe and well in your neck of the woods.
The small person has had school cancelled today so he and DH walked over to Mr T and did a shop that should see us through to the end of next week barring possibly milk and bread. I've trained them well as OH rummaged around in the whoopsies and bought back 3 X sausages for 60p each:D He spent £19.18 in total so am chuffed with that:j We'll definitely spend more next month when the stockpile I built up in December is run down though boo hiss:rotfl:

Hi everyone,
can't believe how quickly this thread grows.
Helen- sympathies to your poor hubby. I have had kidney stones and they are very painful.
Popped into lidl while I was out today and they had some really good offers on f&v, some things only 29p. Worth having a look if you have one near you.It takes a long time to eat an elephant and I'm doing it a bite at a time!!!0 -

Just a small spend today, £2.95 i caved in and bought some teabags, i have really tried to like the basic ones but its something i just cant compromise on. So got a box of 240 Fairtrade teabags from Co-op which were half price and i think 50% extra free so not a bad price, and lovely cuppa.
x
That's a good price, tea is one of my luxuries and I usually get the tesco finest fairtrade 240 bags for about £5 so if I or OH get into town while this offer is on I'll definitely get some - thanks for this!
Snow great for my purse too, so far 3 NSD in a row!
Made the £8 chicken I bought into a lovely soup and pie today after having it roast yesterday. OH was really impressed but I know a lot of people get more than that out of one! Still, at least it justifies buying free range.
Psyching myself up to possibly having to bake some bread tomorrow (mine never comes out right...)
Can I make it with normal flour though, don't have bread flour?

NSD here too. Though tbh it isn't relly due to the weather we are only just getting the heavier snow, just being good!
I have cancelled all my Abel and Cole deliveries for the rest of Jan. We are getting a delivery from a local farm - better, bigger and cheaper!Put the kettle on.0 -

I usually use smartprice plain flour for bread now - got the idea from Weezl when she was doing her 50p challenge. It makes lovely rolls as well.0 -
A NSD today - I resisted the temptation to get a little something for the journey home too - saving my wallet and my waistline! I'm not feeling like posting much today, so I just thought I'd update that and head off. Here's to a better tomorrow.Trying for daily wins, and a little security in an insecure world.0
