    Hi,

Apologies if this has been mentioned before, but in todays Daily Mail there are two vouchers for money off at MrA - £5 off at £50 shop, and £10 off a £100 shop. HTH someone.

miecherox - i go through phases when i'm a bit addicted to supermarket shopping too.
First thing, don't panic, as rosieben said well done for owning up to the issue.
I agree with what rosie says - if you have the money at home, and only take a certain amount out with you and not your cards, then you can't buy extra. If you need only milk, then take what it will cost, about £2. While you're there, if you see offers etc, then you can remember that for next time, and allow yourself to take that much the next time.
Also, if you do a monthly menu plan, you'll know what you're eating, and what you'll use from the storecupboard, and what you need to buy. A monthly internet shop is helpful here - if you do an online shop then return to it the next day, you can usually take off a load of the things you added on through impulse!!
If you do all of these things, you'll find that you can start trusting yourself a bit more. Plus, if you have something in mind that you need to save for, eg a holiday, then anything you don't spend on food can go into that pot, which will make you feel even better about yourself!

Sorry for the ramble, but I feel for you as I was there too!!!

Welcome miecherox you have come to the right place for help and support. I find it best to keep out of the shops as much as possible, it helps me to avoid those impulse purchases that are so hard to resist. I would go as far as to say, I don't do a regular big shop in MrT, MrS, MrM or MrA. I tend to shop at L*dl and my local butchers and sometimes at the local Co-*p, so I sort of tick over, but it really does help me avoid the sort of bogofs that I wouldn't necessarily need. In the summer I rely on my garden for as much fresh veggies and fruit as possible, hard work but worth it and you can freeze/store loads for the winter. We are just using up the last of our HG onions and they were really nice. Good luck !

No cooking today! Tea with DMiL, so a day off. Also NSD for me today.

MrsMcC please can I declare at £132.22 for January, this will come out of my total for the year, as I am on the Annual Grocery Challenge, thank you.
