  • Well done Katie.
My messy house is gradually getting sorted.
DD2 just popped in and suggested I cook again for everyone on New Year's Day as they enjoyed Christmas so much. She has offered to pay for the food.

Its booked for Jan 14th! Not that long away! I will stay at my nans when I first get back, but I have been speaking to a lovely girl who is looking for a lodger, (found her on easyroommate) her lodger is leaving on 21 feb, so by that time hopefully I will have a job, (already been looking here and will send some emails and apply for some jobs over the internet) so if all goes well the timings should work well. Oh and another thing, once I get off the plane in the UK I will not be a smoker, its too expensive in the UK and its a silly habit I need to kick!! Fingers Crossed!! Only told my best friend so far, Oh and you guys! x x x

Oh no Buffy. Sorry to hear things are not too good at the moment.

Have you started your essay at all? Do you have the outline of what you want to write about. Take it a step at a time, I know you can do it if you put your mind to it.

    nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! and no and maybe!

    Thanks tenmah. :(

Dehaani, it's a bank holiday, there's nothing you can do today. Please don't let your worries spoil your Christmas break.

Can you get the worries out of your head by writing a list of positive things to do in the New Year?

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

Hi there guys. I hope you don't mind me posting here as I don't normally pop onto the chat threads so much these days but I wanted to let you know that we currently have the annual thread running which is totting up the amount of debt we have all paid off in 2009.

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=2168125

It would be really great if you guys could add your totals if you haven't already - really want to try and break the previous year's records!!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone.

This is my only day off until Hogmanay and Jan 1st. I work in retail and do not get a Christmas break. Thank you for the suggestions.
