Not sure how it is any weirder than meeting someone in the course of everyday life really? It's definitely less weird that going out 'on the pull'.

Ah, but weird in which way?

Well knowing so much about someone before you meet is the main thing I find odd about it...and she really did have to sift through some unsuitables as well :o

    Evening All

BB your day looking at car sounds very similar to mine..except my !!!!!! OH didn't pipe up. Drove to bath to see this car, got there OH started it up, I took it for test drive, OH commented its got a lot of miles (which it has but all the cars ive seen in our price range are around 80k on the clock) drove lovely, needs a new exhaust which they are going to do but lovely all the same. Asked few questions, tried to get some road tax thrown in but knew the car was already cheap but he agreed to fix exhaust, change oil and put new filter in which seemed a good compromise.

OH then said oh and the seat belts in the back when I put it on were mouldy...why didn't he mention it, then he pipes up about it being diesel which I corrected him and said no petrol and he went mad saying why were we buying a car with that many miles on if it's petrol....and which point sat in a cafe on the way home I said very loudly "if he didn't want to buy the car then he could get off his arrse and look for one and find something better" No words have been exchanged since...!!!!!!. This car will be in my name :)

You were both looking at the same car were you?

Its prob just me - I've meet most of my partners through friends so its slightly different I guess - just a group of mates and you meet one you click with and see where it goes...

I mean I can talk as I met OH from here so who's to say what will and wont work for someone ;)

Z, (or anyone), do you know if there's somewhere I can look up the weather/temperature for the last couple of weeks? All I can find are forecasts for the next few days.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

I like that aspect. I am painfully shy and trying to make conversation with someone I don't know at all is incredibly difficult.

It's nice to find out if there is at least a little like-mindedness beforehand.

With the exception of Mr Sunday, I've never been wrong about who I would have a spark with and who I wouldn't, from the conversations we've had online (Mr Sunday sounded dull and geeky...I was right about one of those :rotfl:).
