my dd is just recovering from a sickness bug. So much washing......!
Hope you manage to keep the shopping to a minimum. I've done a meal for the month - my dh face will be a picture when he sees it on the notice board. He already thinks I'm slightly deranged for being organised (or trying) if only he could grasp that it actually saves us money!!MFW.....Apr 33 Aim - Dec 260 -
Hi TooToo:hello:...I think we are over the worst of it now...but as you say the washing is horrendous...our washer and dryer are both on as I type, but I am nearing the bottom of the pile!
The only thing I have bought in the shop in the last few days were eight lucozade sport to rehydrate us after the sickness at a cost of £4. Checked Halifax this morning and the £200 o/p has cleared and we are now down to £126717 :j:j.Credit card £4461.15Home mortgage £137117Buy to let mortgage £83,0000 -
I am going to include my savings total in my signature to try and keep me motivated to add to it. Phoned up for a balance and its £1397.93...not great but going in the right direction.
Still quite a bit to buy for xmas which is going to be tight but I am still being good with the groceries and have just bought fruit and yoghurts for lunches. Friday is indian night though...I just cannot resist a tikka masala...this will cost about £15 and a bottle of wine at about £6. I can cope with being good all week but I definitely need my treats at the weekend.
Totally peeved off with ebay at the minute...sold loads of stuff recently and a buyer has contacted me to say that they haven't received their item.
Its so annoying because you are relying on these people to be honest and its hard to know if they are. I could charge for signed for delivery but then people probably wouldn't buy the things because they would be too expensive. Does anyone else ever have this problem?
Paypal are holding the money and I will probably end up having to pay it back :mad:
At least its Friday :jCredit card £4461.15Home mortgage £137117Buy to let mortgage £83,0000 -
Hi
I've had this problem with eBay once before but if you have a proof of postage you can claim your money back from the post office. There should be a form on your local one. I hope it helps!

Hi Littlefred...I always ask for proof of postage but that particular day I forgot until I was about to leave the counter and just thought it would be ok :mad:. I asked her to message me if she hadn't received it by Friday and she hasn't but the case is still open...am not sure whether to contact her or just to say nothing...its free listing weekend and am not sure whether to bother...I would nearly rather just give the stuff away...with increased postage costs its so hard now to make any decent money on ebay.
At least its saturday... Just having a WKD watching xfactor...exciting times...lolCredit card £4461.15Home mortgage £137117Buy to let mortgage £83,0000 -
Ebay case still open and the buyer hasn't let me know if they ever received the item..i sent her a message on Friday but haven't heard anything back :mad:
On the plus side I have just sold my babys swing chair for £40 and have made on line payment to Halifax:D.
Am selling another item for £10 tomorrow so if it goes ahead I will pay this off too :j:j
Another bit of good news, the OH phoned me today to tell me that he is getting a payrise, this will leave us roughly £100 per month better off :beer:Credit card £4461.15Home mortgage £137117Buy to let mortgage £83,0000 -
Buyer collected item this morning so the £10 has been paid off the mortgage :T:T...I am really trying to keep the momentum going and lay in bed last night thinking of all the stuff that is in the attic that I could sell.
I think I will keep on selling on gumtree and facebook pages rather than ebay as it so much less hassle.
