  • We are thinking about what we are doing, which is an achievement in itself. I'm hoping to keep a much better track of it all this year, as i kind of lost track of what i did achieve, though i sold a lot on ebay and had my free mini break in liverpool with points, and had all the work done on the bathroom and kitchen.

Here's hoping to another good year.
  • You have done brilliant this year Michelle and am sure you will inspire us all in 2011.
Just made dinner for me and OH.....2 tesco finest siriloin steaks whoopsied to £1.35, and they were delicious :j.
Have a beef joint defrosting in the fridge for tomorrows dinner...another whoopsie at £1.05 :j.
Am determind to keep the grocery spends down as much as i can!
Having a quiet night with a bottle of wine and a DVD.

  • Thanks MW, £5.86 received from quidco and i used £4.00 in vouchers for nappies so have rounded up and made an overpayment of £10 to the mortgage...not much but better than nothing.

Done a big shop in asda and checked the new online price guarantee thing and the price came in at over £12.00 cheaper than tesco:D

Opened child trust fund on ebay for £35 cashback which has been validated, so this will be another overpayment when it comes through :j

  • Have just worked out our daily interest, it was £20.45 per day on 01.01.2010 and now it it £18.58. Although it is still very high, psychologically it feels great that it has fell below £20 and that we are paying almost £2.00 less to the banks everyday :j:D:j

Daily interest now £18.21 per day :j:j

well done on the interest going down
  • Thanks yukkibear, i know it is still very high when loads of people on this board are paying a couple of pound per day but i am just happy to see it going downwards.
Went to tescos today and managed to only spend £12.00 and used 3 vouchers to knock £3.00 off the shopping.
Bought salmon for dinner but ended up eating curry in MIL house :D....at least that is tomorrows dinner sorted :j.
A friend gave me four pairs of jeans that didnt fit her anymore and i am so pleased because they all fit and will save me buying any for ages .
Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend. xo

Our interest has just dropped from £12 to £8 odd with our rate reduction which is great, but want it down even more lol
  • Morning :). I've just read through your whole diary and have now subscribed so I can keep up to date if I miss the odd post.

You have done amazingly well and last year was a bit of a rollercoaster wasn't it? Still, lots more ups than downs reading your diary.

I'm delighted to hear about your new baby, that you managed to get some money back from your property deal gone wrong, that you are making such good progress on ebay and saving bits here and there and that your husband is (sort of) on board with the MFW journey. Although I do think that 2.5k would have been better off on the mortgage not the plasma TV!. Still I guess that marriage is all about comprimise. Must be why I've not done it! :rotfl:
