  • the challenge is to have all your ironing done by New Year's Eve - to start 2010 with an empty ironing basket.

Ok the list closed for the challenge on 23rd December

Oooooo errrrrrrrrrrr its getting close - how are you all doing - we have just less than 4 days to get the ironing baskets empty - WE CAN DO IT!!!!! I would love to see you all manage it xx GOOD LUCK!

I currently have about 4 items in the ironing basket.....3 of which are DH's 100% cotton shirts which are a real pain to iron....hence they are the items still in there!

Thanks for the challenge Toots, its really made me get through it.

Off to SIL's this afternoon and for tea then working tonight. My second to last shift at M&S. Wednesday is my last night there then I'll just be working 2 days elsewhere.

We have had success with potty training DD2. The little incentive of a piece of chocolate orange everytime she goes is definately helping. Today is day 2 so we'll see how she goes.

Poppytime....huge hugs for you. My SIL's ex left her and the kids xmas eve last year and I know how hard its been for her. Stick around here for the support hun. x

    Valli...hugs for you too.

Just taking a load of xmas day pics off the camera onto the computer then I'll get stuff ready for going over to SIL's Who knows I might even give the kitchen a quick wipe over.;)

    Morning

Another lazy start today in the Kaz household.

Snow White on Ice yesterday was VERY good and DD and I enjoyed it immensely.
Children actually cleaned up kitchen after I cooked and I watched TV.
I watched the update on Comic Relief and was embarrassed to think that what I spent on the children could have bought between 70 and 80 mosquito nets each and saved the lives of that many children - Food for thought next year :o

    From last weeks fred
Congratulations nikki2804, I got wed in Aug 09 so know how to make a few savings
MOAM - hope your back is better today
Poppytime - massive hugs, I can add anything to the responses any better than pigpen and some of the others did
nicki - welcome back (although I do read your updates on FB)
mumof2, beckyandjack and welshkaz - welcome, hope you enjoy the flying and dont try and keep up with the thread until you're a bit more accomplished as it will leave you no time to fly :rotfl:

    And for this week
Thanks to Piggers, Toots and soappie
pink-numbers and lizziedripping - welcome back
mumoffour77 - the sink sounds disgusting, a bit like my dishwasher last week
valli - hope you feeling better now :rotfl:

Ok plan for today is first get out of my PJ's and shower, then fly in the kitchen, then encourage DD to clear some cupboard space for her new stuff.

Binbags will be at the ready

I have a rare week off, and want to head into 2010 in some sort of order.......so am very pleased to be able to fly properly this week and get completely on top of things before New Year.
I think that may be part of my mood. The bit between Christmas and New Year - another year ending - where did it go? etc.

Thanks, soappie. Think the shower helped a bit - plus the :coffee:
Heavy frost overnight - don't think the snow/ice will be going any time soon. Decided I can get to the bus stop walking on the road so will go into town tomorrow.

    Hugs to valli and poppytime
Special love to L-L and toots
    - two good reasons not to moan about stupid things:o
