In bedside cupboards, in a shoe, in a jar used for [STRIKE]junk[/STRIKE] spare things, in the hot press between a few things, in an old coat or old handbag, on top of a wardrobe or kitchen units, in the biccy barrel (don't ask), in a used candle when it has burnt down abit (i keep a key there and i don't know why), in your purse.

Sounds abit mad i know but i have found things in these places.:o
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

OH is Scorpio and then some.

Snap! I'm Taurus & DH is Scorpio. DD1 is Sagittarius and DD2 Capricorn. Don't know much about what's typical for those signs though. They're both 23rd of the month so right on the borderline.

Unfortunately I must confess to being REALLY, REALLY, stubborn. I'm sure DH would agree!

greenbee - what about make up bags/drawers/jewellry boxes etc?
cutlery drawer? Bookshelf in between a couple of books? Under the sofa? Inside a pan? The horrible messy drawer that no-one wants to venture in?

Thanks for all these ideas... I'm slowly going through everything in the house (although not methodically, which I know would be more sensible!). I also realise that I currently have no idea where my passport is... I need to start having some logic about these things to help make trips a bit easier (passport still needs renewing too...)

I'm pretty sure that I left the key upstairs... but have no memory at all of putting in anywhere which is strange (I do remember suddenly deciding that the usual place didn't seem save). What worries me is that I might have put it inside something that has been chucked out  which is why I need to check the charity shop stuff...

For now... off to check the drawer under the bed in the spare room, then when I've made the bed in there tomorrow that will be the whole room checked!

Think about what you have lost, stab the pin into the cushion and say 'I Pin the Devil'.

(I think Dusty does this too).

    They will turn up.

Any chance you have TAPED them to the UNDERSIDE of somewhere?

It's Soappie who does it really not me (although using Triker's phrase I am as mad as a box of frogs:o)

I'm a Monkey in the Chinese zodiac and this suits and matches my personality so much better than the stubborn bullock....which I'm NOT!!!!!:D
I'm a Sagi - and bear no resemblance to any description of that sign I have ever read.
Chinese - I'm a wood rooster and did recognise more of those characteristics.

Greenbee airing cupboard - will check tomorrow, although I'd be mad to put them in there as they might fall down behind the tank
under a loose floor board - nope. That's where the spiders live
behind a radiator - nope - all clean and shiny with reflectors behind them
    in a cosmetics/toiletries bag/under a chest of drawers/in your sports bag/in a coat pocket/in an envelop
all checked except coat pockets (will do while making hot water bottles). It's the envelope thing I'm worried about... I could easily have chucked them out if they were...
briefcase, desk drawer, hanging on a hook in plain sight, vase, flowerpot, in or under a clock
laptop bag was the first place I thought of, but I've checked and they aren't there. Then again, its travelled back and forth to work for over a month since I got back... desk drawers have both been checked thoroughly... no hooks for them to be hanging on (why did I hide them though, when all the other keys ARE on a hook???)... only vase that is out has been checked... will do flowerpots when watering plants, but I'm pretty sure I've moved all of them since as I've done all the windows... clock is on the wall and hasn't even been wound up for over a year (must find the key for that and get it going too!)

OK... think I'd better get ready for bed, otherwise tomorrow will be a write-off too!
