  • Thanks Mumofjusttwo and helenj. We don't mind quiet as it's just us too going and we would be grandparents by then! LOL Windy on the beach doesn't matter either as hate laying on the stuff would rather walk on it. As long as it has a few eateries and bars that will do us good, don't want noisy overcrowded places and we've on been to Gran canaria on the Canaires before

Still plodding away with my finances in between sneezing fits
Hi all, been MIA again! I'm cancerian - so that's why I'm an emotional wreck! LOL. Has anyone been to lanzarote in particular costa teguise?
We went to an all inclusive when DD was just under 2 so 9 years ago. We felt resort was quiet but it was an aparthotel that Thomsons has commissioned for the season and the food was excellent. Huge buffet with a central island where chefs would cook you fresh stuff in front of you and wine on tap including champers every night with your meal if you wanted it. I do remember a particularly good jewellers that DH and I spent loads in too :rotfl: obviously pre MSE

Oh well next account to do now s the cash one and theres loads on that  and then I can work out what I spent on Christmas
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!

Well I have located the source of the buzzing noise in the kitchen - it's the blowy heater under the cupboard - light's on, it's buzzing but NOT blowing out warm air (there's no rad in there). Looks like it has broken then so I have switched it off. Marvellous.
It was connected to the central heating somehow and I don't think it is accessible without moving the cupboard it's fitted under. Ho hum.

carlsberg- we stayed half board in a H10 hotel across the road from the beach and I can only remember that there was a bar (very English ) near to the beach but seemed quite family orientated. Can't remember much else apart that it was breezy but we did stay at the beach /pool so couldn't have been to bad :D

I didn't bother wrapping up well to go and put the recycling mountain out for the 7am collections. Cue four trips. Realise the chickens have not had their door shut. Realise the chicken shed door is frozen in its tracks. Collect jug of hot water and patiently defrost the chickens. Collect stupid dog who escaped when I was putting the recycling out. Check in garage for missing kitten who has not been seen since being dramatically rescued from top of wisteria at lunchtime. No kitten. Hands now numb with cold. Walk back into house, do not bother wiping steamed up glasses. Stand on cat who has been asleep upside down in the middle of the corridoor all afternoon. Find savlon for resulting scratched leg. Regret getting rid of all wine. Answer phone to DH. Do I want a takeaway and a bottle of wine?

    Reader, I said No. :p

I thought DH was joining you in the weight loss and fitness... I take it he hasn't worked out the principles yet (make more trips that necessary and get cold to burn calories).
    Another one here!

    Moam
    Me too!!

Supper eaten... last of green & blacks strawberry ice-cream has now GONE (I'd forgotten how delicious it was :o) so it's not in the freezer calling to me and it has made room for some of the vats of soup I've cooked.

Sitting room is respectable, as is hall. Kitchen shouldn't be too bad. Spare room needs to be made up for guests, my bedroom needs a blitz and the study will need to be tidied so that I can get the airbed out if necessary next weekend.

And I've checked a couple more places and STILL can't find the safe keys :confused: I'm running out of ideas now... and think I might have to find a locksmith :o

Lol - no I cant keep up with more than one thread at a time, or I would never get any flying done!! Im just going to be good with food (or at least try) and do Wii fit once a day & use the car less i.e. walk to school in the afternoons etc. Am going to try to get back into a routine of going to the gym too....
