I think it’s a fair “vent” why shouldn’t you get a pint if you pay for a pint .
This site is dedicated to getting the best “bang for your buck” or at the very least what you pay for.!
In 1997 the Labour Party were elected and part of their manifesto pledge was “ a full pint at point of delivery” it never happened , like so many things , before any bright sparks chip in , I have voted Labour all my life so this is not political.
I wrote to them a couple of years in and asked when they were going to deliver I got an answer along the lines of “ after consultation (how many times have I heard that Boxxxxxs) with the brewery industry it had been decided that it was too expensive to introduce .!
A year or so latter I saw a “government initiative “ for introducingglasses that reduced facial damage following fights in pubs caused by “glassing” which the breweries had accepted and over a short period were going to replace all their glasses GREAT.
I wrote again to the government pointing out what a golden opportunity this was to deliver on their pledge , all the glasses were going to be replaced so marked glasses with a pint shown , over which the pubs could put as much froth , head as they liked could be introduced without excessive cost to the brewery industry .
NOTHING
ZILCH
NADA
As long as they are getting their subsidised pints (along with every thing else) in Westminster why should they worry .
I repeat I have voted Labour all my life 45 voting years and never missed a vote so do not burn me.!0 -
Looking at some of the responses on this thread I can only assume that some of these people are those who would shove their "short measure" glass into your face if you dared to disagree with them !!
Sad !0 -
I can not believe this Moonraker , what is this site for if not to get value for money.
Would you be happy to get 10% less Fuel every time you fill your car up or have the gas and electricity companies round your bill up, NO .!
Why can’t the breweries serve a pint which after all is what they are paid for, why not because it makes them more money SHORT CHANGING the punter.
Accusing people of being “sad “ is not on.0 -
get in touch with weights and measures dept of trading standards, you paid for a pint you should get a pint and Im sure they will pay a visit to ensure this is the case in furture
I understand ALOT more than I care to let on

Op having spent almost 30 years (on and off) as a barmaid beer etc is sold in this country in pint and half pint measures.
this company is breaking the law - so inform trading standards hun. and next time you go in - try supplying your own glass! especialy if its marked with the pint line!0 -

Perhaps you read my post again ! then again, as you are obviously having trouble understanding it !
I made absolutely no comment whatsoever on the rights or wrongs of selling "short measures". If I buy a pint, that I what I expect to get.
I DID comment on the agressive, rude, ill informed and offensive nature of some of the posts in this thread !
You can decide which category yours falls in !!!!0 -
