thinking of getting 3 for skype calls...

Could I just confirm this:
Once you buy a PAYG skype 3 phone, you never have to top up again? So in 6 months I won't have to top up in order to keep my sim going (and connect to skype and use the usual free skype service)?
Can anyone say what the connection is like for skype usage from a 3 mobile to a pc? Am i write in thinking a skype call between two 3 mobiles provides a better 'signal' than a skype call between a 3 mobile and a skype (PC) user in say Hong Kong/Dubai/anywhere in the world...

Anyone?
skype on a 3 phone to skype on a pc abroad? signal/recpetion/call quality good?

Ah thanks!! This is exactly what I was asking about. There was a time when people were very critical of 3's reception/connection strength - but I am guessing they have sorted this out now.0 -
I would avoid 3 personally, What a rip off company they are - I am having a nightmare with them - they are a complete bunch of con artists, I have had the worse service from them, no coverage, do not go with them whatever you do.0

If you have an unlocked phone you could try a 3 PAYG sim to check the coverage, or ask someone who you know is on 3 to check for you. I've never had a problem with 3 coverage - it's no worse than other networks I've used. You get to roam on Orange as a backup signal (2G) so if you are moaning about no coverage on 3, chances are you would have no signal on Orange either.0
