Wonder if it will not be fixed until tomorrow. The IT dept are all probably off given that it is a bank holiday..............unless someone is getting a "get your butt into work" call as we speak!

This thread has had over 22000 views - so even if only 10% of viewers have ordered that would be 2200 phonecalls they need to make. Slightly time consuming me thinks! More likely will be a cancellation e mail at some point over the next few days.

I ordered 10 pairs last night. About 5 pairs for myself, a couple of pairs for my boyfriend (he's in a glam metal band - if you know the scene you'll know...) and a couple for his mum aswell.

I've never had any problems with Empire and have ordered with them before. I got a microwave for about £20 using a £25 off code once and have used numerous other discount codes for other stuff and the money has always been refunded on.

Surely if it was a glitch that they KNOW about then they would have fixed it by now. I mean I just checked and I can still get them for £1 a pair!

I'd say going by the instant restocking onlne and the amount of pairs 'bought' by people it's definately a glitch and not as simple as just the price (unless the computers are putting the bought ones back in stock as they wouldn't fully process -although everyone is down as processing).It's a bank holiday so there may not be anyone available to fix it properly or it may take some time.

If anyone does get them I'd place my bets on those who only ordered a couple,especially those who had them in with other things,as large orders are going to be rather obvious (especially 110!!!!!!!) as knowing the price was wrong and money making

Prob when they were full price there was an offer buy 2 save £10, when they reduced them they forgot to take off the discount.

Had a bit of an argument with the Manager, whom I eventually got to speak to....but they were adamant that they would not sell them for the price they were coming up with at the checkout.

How are they able to get away with it though..it is their glitch..been running a couple of days now in fact peeps are still saying they can order? I have been wary of using the whole shopping group for a while now and only ordered the jeans as there was no discount code/voucher to backfire as has been happening lately (from reading threads on both here and other sites) think I will give them a miss conpletely from now on and stick to honest retailers.

They have not got in touch with me but I only ordered 2 pairs. Can they charge £6 instead of £1 to my card without permission?

No I don't think so

I wouldn't have thought they would call each order individually - prob just send a cancellation email in a week or so :rolleyes:
