Indeed it isHence I think some people need to a be little careful and not list and sell them on ebay before they've had anything delivered!

I ordered last night (27th) and from Empire stores as I couldn't get the Very site to go any further than the checkout page.
However...Empire, Very and Littlewoods are now all the same company.
They had the audacity to tell me that I was the only person that the glitch had happened to !!!! I soon put them straight. When life throws you lemons...put them in a gin and tonic !!0 -
Well I still haven't had my cancellation phone call/e-mail but do keep checking to see if any stock goes back online as £6 per pair is good value though £1 per pair would be even better value:D:p0

I got my phone call at about 4.30pm today.
When I demanded to speak to a Manager, I was put on hold for about ten minutes and then told that they would phone me back.
A Manager did phone back and told me that the glitch would not be fixed until tomorrow, as they only had a skeleton staff in today, as it is a Bank holiday.
Don't know whether everyone will get a telephone call or not. i suppose it depends on whether or not you have an account with them and if you have your telephone number listed with them.
I have had my account hijacked in the past, so they always telephone me whenever I place any order, to ensure that it was myself who actually placed the order and they always ask several security questions, to make sure the account hasn't been hijacked again. When life throws you lemons...put them in a gin and tonic !!0 -
Given how long they'll take to refund that will be harsh for those who ordered 110 pairs then!Ouch!
Old Sexypants won't be a happy bunny will she.... all that profit she saw slipping away AND waiting ages for a refund. I guess the buyers who she has already sold to won't be well chuffed either.
Ah well no worries for those of us who spent a few quid. Always worth a punt on things like this but on most occasions the retailers back track when there is a mistake, as is their legal right I guess :-)
Anyways thanks to the OP.

Thanks for letting us know betterbargains........looks like it will be mass cancellation e-mails over the next 2 or 3 days followed by a 2 -3 week wait for a refund I am guessing. Oh hum..........can't win them all I guess but I do love the excitement of a good glitch lol!0

Nope i dont live on £10 dummy! :rotfl:
*I get discretionary housing benefit that covers all but £40 of my monthly rent.
*£160pm JSA after £40 for the rent,
*Have roughly £500 left over from the late holiday payment that i got a few weeks ago from a previous job, but already spent the other £600 of it buying stuff that i needed, so dont really need to buy anything else now anyways.
*£823 total money recieved as christmas money, so will spread that over 8months at £100pm.
*Will be getting £995 tax-rebate in march/april as i came just under the 6k total PAYE earnings this year, so get all my tax back.
And so will be spreading that out over 10months at £100 extra per month.
*And my parents pay for all my food,
so the only bills i actually need to pay from my £160pm are my sky+internet (£26), o2 phone bill (£21), electricity (£14), bt line rental (£12),
and so then have £87 per month, each month, left from my jsa to just be spent on clubbing/clothes... ect
And the 3 cash lump sums which will add an extra £100 cash spending money per month, each month, for the next 23months.
So dont try saying that i only have £10 to go shopping with, when ya haven't really got a clue about my finances!;)

And for the people who are getting worried about the few people claiming that they have had 'cancellation calls',
i very much doubt you should be concerned. lol
(Unless you only bought them after 3pm today, in which case you should worry)
But providing you bought them yesterday/before 7am today, its much more likely that your order would have simply joined the order flow of all the 1000s of packages that the warehouse packages and dispatches same day, everyday.
So now in the evening when the head office have finally ''alledgedly realised'',
although its obvious they haven't as the glitch is still there! :rotfl::rolleyes:
But if they have realised, but for some reason decided to not close the glitch,
once your order has been packaged and dispatched by the warehouse (takes 6-16hours usually),
it will then be too late for them once they eventually do realise, as the jeans will be off in the post on their way to you. :beer:0 -

So much for 90% of your JSA goes on rent then eh.I think you need to get your story straight
And you said elsewhere that your parents don't help out financially (after saying they did) and you only got help when staying with them but they buy your food?
I think you need to grow up,stop relying on others, get a job and stop lyingIf women are birds and freedom is flight are trapped women Dodos?0 -

Not sure who you are referring to but they would have been only quoting the absolute b**locks you were spouting on the quidco thread not so long ago under a different pseudonym (yes that you lived on only £10 per month yada, yada, yada), grow up and stop been one of those cretins that are making this site an online b*tching forum.0
