Hi!
To sell on Amazon you have to set up a sellers account. I have sold a few bits on there but find it a bit frustrating to be honest as they have a set postage amount without them having any idea how much it weighs so sometimes you gain and sometimes you lose out big time! You have to have posted it within 3 working days which isnt always possible and also they wait until the item has been received by the person before they pay you which is OK if person logs on as soon as they receive it but not if they take their time. They also have fairly huge sellers fees BUT on the plus side you know how much the item is going to go for. Morning all, thanks for the advice Pipsmum. Does that mean if somebody does not leave feedback for you you don't get your money?
At work again this morning, brought in breakfast and lunch to save the pennies. Hoping to be gone just after lunch to give me time to tidy the messy house before mum, sister and nephew arrive later. How come I ended up doing Christmas Day and New Years Eve?? Always the way in our family!
Had a surprise cheque yesterday. My DS2 went on a cub holiday to France, Belguim and Holland in August and as well as paying for it we all had to participate in fund raising for treats. Now they are back and the accounts have been done there was £61 to come back to everybody so that was a lovely surprise yesterday. However it is my mum's 60th birthday tomorrow (she was the first 1950 baby in London!!) and we are going out to eat. I have squirrelled away some pounds over the last few months to pay for this but I told DS1 that he had to pay for his own and his girlfriend's meals as he is now working (apprenticeship). Guess what he has done though?? Spent all his wages knowing we are going out tomorrow. Part of me wants to tell him he cannot now go but I know my mum will want him there - I am so cross with him and he just does not care!!
Happy new year all, have a good time and take care. xx0 -

Hi Pipsmum, happy new year to you too. I hope 2010 is everything you wish for. x
Moneytroubles, its Bingobritain.com. Basically you have to lodge £5 with them but then they give you £5 a day for 30 days. I have won £45 so far in a week with them now. I have only spent the original £5 and won't put any more in. Going to sign up DH too and play on his behalf!! Hope this helps.0 -

Hi all, Moneytroubles they must have changed it - I only deposited £5. They have probably had too many people from this site signing up!!
I have not posted for a few days as I have had an expensive few days and am feeling really guilty! I think what it has taught me though is how important it is to budget for things you have coming up.
It was my mum's 60th on new years day and the meal cost far more than I thought so I overspent there. Then we needed two new tyres for the car, again not budgeted for and then my tumble dryer which I cannot do without with 3 kids broke too. I had money put away for next weekend where my mum, sister, friend and I are doing a spa weekend for my mum's 60th and I have had to use that money!!!! I feel so guilty about going next week and cannot let the others down.
I know I have some inheritance money coming soon but it does not help now!! My mum is one of the two executors of the will and thinks probate will be given to them in a week or so, they are waiting to hear from the Probate Office now. After they have obtained probate they have to advertise for 8 weeks and a day for any creditors to come forward (what a joke, my great uncle (clever man) never had any credit in his life and saved everything he had). Therefore mum does not know if we can have some of the money before then or we have to wait until after this period - she is going to speak to the other executor who is far more clued up than she is on these matters as he does it all the time.
I am therefore feeling very useless at the moment and realising that things have to be budgeted for in all areas or I will get in this mess again.
Other than that kids back at school, DS1 back at work (how hard was that getting him out of his bed today!!) I really want 2010 to be a better year financially and need to be good. Made soups at the weekend and there is enough for my lunch for every day this week so pleased with that.
Came into work this morning to find there has been a huge water leak in there and nobody can work out where it has come from! Now sitting in a smelly sticky (cos they have pulled the floor tiles up) office feeling sorry for myself!!
Must go now, kids are at swimming lessons tonight and then off to eat cottage pie I made yesterday.
First day of diet has gone well, lets hope I can keep it up.

flipping snow thats all I can say! Going to struggle to get home with the car I think! So far so good, kids at school and no call to say they are shutting the school yet. Busy day at work today so day is whizzing past. Brought my own soup in for lunch (healthy butternut squash) and had fruit and yoghurt for breakfast. So day 2 of the healthy eating going well, not even craving the chocolate yet (maybe because I overdosed on it all over Christmas though!!) Really need to take christmas trees down tonight and give house a tidy. x0
